I mean, fair, a blackout room sounds great, if I had one I'd probably spend all day in it too. I went for medic because it was something I could study while sitting around doing our thing and it was actually helpful. I guess I coulda gone engineer too? But Altihex had plenty of engineers and frag-all in the way of affordable medical care, so. I went for being able to keep my friends alive.

As an ex-spy I'm gonna take offense to this. I stabbed exactly one community in the back and it wasn't my community.

[He settles down a little, losing the joking tone.] It doesn't, always. It's not a replacement for time, or therapy; magic healing spike isn't a thing. But having someone who supports you, even knowing all the bad slag you've done? Even if you're still doing things that make you guilty? That can go a long way towards helping someone recover, or making the duty more bearable.
