i like that! my headcanon is more "trolls are all reproductively male and the most intelligent, whereas the mother grub is sort of like bees fed royal jelly, virgin or otherwise, and drones are like worker bees" but either way it means karkat would smell it, and i'm not playing any other trolls/gonna put that on anyone else, so that's that!
