-dusts off the giant robot RP accounts. The dust is glitter I put on because who am I even kidding?- Rule proposition, in honor of the dead and gone Emilie Autumn fan forum: No slow chatting aka off topic conversation in threads.
even the people who aren't sure what norm the genie is. or who hate it, and thus post mostly "i hate norm the genie why would anyone like this".
I once saw the most beautiful response to this. NCSoft made a strict rule of "no discussions of things other than City of Heroes" in the City of Heroes forums. Whereupon one of the regular posters, possibly a bit of a troll, posted a lovely bit of City of Heroes fanart: Her COH character, in costume, with a little thought bubble: "Gosh, I've been so busy fighting crime in PARAGON CITY (tm), I haven't had time to watch the most recent season of Glee. I wonder what I missed?" "Now let's talk about this very topical City of Heroes fanart."
in limerick all posts must be composed in this new rule which i have now proposed unless it is opposed or the admins deposed to all who refuse the forum is closed
a limerick's humor is best when it passes a metrical test but most people can't be bothered with rhymes and wouldn't know meter if it bit them
whereupon everything becomes "clarifications" of existing rules, which is to say, it's just like making new rules except they're worded in impossibly-dense ways to make it look like they're not.
people don't choose their own icons; they're selected "at random" and periodically changed out of enormous and growing pool of images, out of some convoluted reasoning that the "equality" of no one choosing is a good thing.
Internet archaeologists, centuries later: "Why did they write 45,000 poems all called 'My name is Ray'?"
