So, I´ve been in kind of bad shape lately, and trying to thing where I programm the stuff I want to do in a day into my phone. I tend tp forget to eat a lot, so does anyone have suggestions for a reasonable interval between eating? I tend to prefer small meals, like a bowl of cereal or a sandwich to large ones.

Also unrealted, anyone got suggestions for strong tasting things that don´t take up a lot of stomach room? i tend to crave tastes, even when I´m full, which can be anoying.

Allenna I am not a Dragon. Or a Robot. Really.

Sour gummies fill this for me a lot of the time. There are octopus ones that I really like and it makes the texture pretty neat.

Ah, I should have speciefied not candy. I do use candy for that, and it´s gotten to where I sometimes eat enough to make myself sick, which is definitely not a good thing. Have been trying to remeber to buy more lettuce, because lettuce with lemon or vinegar and salt also works. But I´d really like more options.

Typically you are supposed to eat every four hours, but if you like small meals, try every three. As far as high flavor stuff, do you like barbecue potato chips?

cinnamon disks. While they are candy, most brands don't leave the "syrupy" mouthfeel. They aren't usually as spicy as Jolly Rancher cinnamon candies, so you can suck on one for a while without feeling overwhelmed. Works better than most candy things since they last long without adding tummy issues.

Hard candy might be a good diea in general actually. Lasts longer.

I have heard that 4-5 small meals is better than just 3 meals. So, I'm not sure, every 3 hours or so? If you you were to eat your first meal at 6am, and your last meal at 6pm, every 3 hours gives you about 5 meals, so that sounds right?

fruit? Like a handful of grapes, or an orange?

Shift that to Noon and 4am and it might work, yes. :) (I Can get up at 6am if I absolutely have to. But I´d honestly rather eat pocket lint.)

Fruit is...problematic in the original sense of the word. It´s either gone before I have spoons to shop again, or it goes bad.

Ahahaha yeah, same. I wasn't suggesting that as a schedule, I was thinking about it in terms of when normal people get up and eat and stuff. xD Then, I guess even most people don't get up at 6...

    Ah, fair =/

If spicy food is a thing you like, hot sauce. Hot sauce on everything. Capers, pickles, aged cheddar, wasabi peas, dill, arugula - I mean, not together, but you can probably make like a pickle and cheese sandwich or use arugula for salads the first couple days after you go shopping.

how do you feel about cheese? the harder types tend to keep longer, and there are some pretty strong flavours out there. (whiskey cheddar comes to mind) if there's a deli nearby, you could see if they have any strong cured meats (i'm partial to salami and bresaola); if you get the meat sliced thin then you can make cheese sticks and 'roll-ups' to snack on.

@Chiomi 's suggestion of wasabi peas reminded me of this indian snack brand called kurkure - they're kind of like the crunchy cheetos in texture, but the flavours can be really zingy.

you might try dried fruit or frozen fruit - or nuts. Maybe a variety of differently-seasoned nuts? Also, I've discovered that honey as a salad dressing is fucking amazing.

if you're a fan of sandwiches, I'd suggest keeping buns around, especially if you go the deli meat and cheese route. stuff it in a bun and eat up.

you might also try setting aside some time for food prep - like if you were going to chop carrot/celery sticks or something like that. then it's not a constant "oh I have to go make food again".

ohhhh, spreads! jams, jellies, Nutella, peanut butter...

EDIT: rice cakes are my go-to tasty non-filling snack.

Spearmint gum, assuming you can do mint. There are some other gum flavors that are pretty strong as well, depending on brand.

Also sometimes the want-to-taste-things thing, for me anyway, is want-to-smell-things in disguise. (Smell isn't 100% of taste, but it's a decent chunk.) Some mildly scented oils or the like might be helpful sometimes.

To add to other suggestions: Indian pickles (quite different in flavour to Western pickles). Flavoured popcorn.

As for meal spacing, your stomach tends to get used to whatever spacing you give it over time. But, if you want a formal spacing, go for breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, supper.

Unfortunately hot sauce doesn´t like me. It´s basically just painful to eat
    .
Tried gum but the flavours are all too chemical, they kind of make me sick. Also no, it´s definitely taste. scented candles don´t do anything.

Spreads might be an idea to add variety. Sandwiches are a bit too food like for just taste cravings.

Heh, I know those but had then categorized as "Something to eat when I forgot again so I can cook without flopping on my face."

*points to quote above* If left to myself I will forget food, because my body and I aren´t on the best of terms. I´m going with five meals for now, but I´d rather not label them to avoid my brain deciding I can´t eat because there is no dinner food available.

@Everyone: Thanks for the advice, sorry for being fussy and taking forever to reply.

Have you tried candied ginger? I ate a fuckton of it last year cause I was sick to my stomach all the time, but it's pretty highly flavored and you can chew it forever if you keep it in the fridge, or you can freeze it and suck it like a hard candy.

I love candied ginger, but it doesn´t love me. At least not when I eat a bag at a time, which I do when I have a tasting things fit. Am also wondering if one can develop an oral fixation as an adult. Chewing, sucking, etc. has become more of a Thing recently for some reason.
