All I remember of Wolverine Origins is the line "I thought you were the moon and I was your wolverine", which I believe is the cause of my being totally unable to take Wolverine seriously as a character ever. (But I'm more of a DC girl than Marvel anyway, so I might be biased.)
Wait, I haven't seen that movie. They shut Deadpool up????? I'd use the phrase "fate worse than death" but it doesn't really work in this case. Just, if you do that to him, whatever is left is not something I'd recognize as still Deadpool no matter what it looks like.
Well, I just found fic that had a character who, despite being quite intelligent and generally reasonable in canon, for some reason starts demanding that a vampire who can't go out in sunlight keep to a human sleep schedule. Since 'not all your missions will be at night.' Um.
If a character is forced by circumstances to engage in bizarre sex acts, then if you can't write hesitance can you at least write them as being a little surprised?
(it's also weird because like. said vampire is on a covert-ops tactical team. It's true that she USED to be an ace pilot, which would require daytime flights, but. that's not her CURRENT job. pretty sure her current job happens predominantly at night or otherwise out of direct sunlight.)
IT IS FUCKING AWESOME LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT The general canon is DC Bombshells, a weekly-updating comics series based on the DC Universe. It's an AU set during the second World War, starring all the ladies of the DC Universe - the titular Bombshells being the phrase used for superhumans. It is completely full of awesome queer ladies (mostly gay/bi women, though we also have one canon trans girl), many of whom are POC or Jewish, and it has major themes of found family/solidarity, actually has its characters deal with grief and PTSD, and has some VERY cathartic yelling-at-fascists. Some sample panels! Spoiler: giant pics it is the best, is what Iam saying. The specific character mentioned up above is Babs Gordon, aka Batgirl. In this universe, she's part of the Suicide Squad, along with Killer Croc, Enchantress, and Prophetic Pirate Princess Ravager, and led by Frankie Charles, a disabled black woman who is equally talented at mid-fight pun-flirting and code-breaking. Spoiler: more big pictures she was an ace pilot in the first world war, but then she lost her partner and went a little... batty. And ended up crashing in the Louisiana Bayou and also becoming a vampire. Spoiler: I just really like this scene Anyways, they end up forming... and they're also canon poly! :D

...unfortunately neither Stephanie or Cass have shown up yet. Still, though, I am hoping they do, because we've got I think most of the other Batfamily members, except for Damian and Duke? and Dick, though we've got some sort of confirmation that he'll show up at some point. by which i mean, this tumblr post from the comics author. ....this is not really relevant to your question but I still think it's hilarious. anyhow. it's pretty likely to happen, I think.
(we should probably move this to a fan town thread, huh....) yeah, but I think there's pretty good odds they'll show up at some point? just story-wise we'll need to check in on the vigilante girl scouts batfamily at least one more time, and probably more than that, so. (i'm still hoping Starfire shows up - they just released a Bombshells statuette of her, and I'd be ENDLESSLY delighted if she and Bombshells!Raven met and were friends and all.)
