Lissa climbs up Kablooey's lamppost. "Hey Kablooey! Why did you bring a pole if we're not gonna dance on it?"

Huh, I'm surprised it didn't poof when I stopped paying attention to it. -actually a bit surprised, but nevermind that- I've never danced on a pole except on top, you're gonna have to show me!

 

"Okay kid, but I'm not gonna take my clothes off!" Lissa waves at her.

"Okay!" Lissa holds out a hand to Kablooey.

"Actually you were doing just fine. You just kind of swing around it while you dance. It lets you play with gravity. Being digitigrade gives you a bit of an advantage in locking your foot around it, but it's all just physics, you know." She wraps one leg around the pole and holds on with one hand, then flips around it. Despite the fact that there is very little of her sparkly pink party dress, it does all stay exactly where it's supposed to.

That's part of the fun after all. If the audience actually sees something, it's not nearly as much fun as keeping them watching in the hope that they might.

 

I'm mostly used to using them for short spins, for needless dramaticism, or if I need to ninja-kick someone in their stupid face.

"Yeah, that's part of why it's fun!" Lissa grins. "It's all about friction, silly, and learning how to lock your joints so you don't fall. But you have to be careful, especially when you're not too sober, you don't want to throw up on everyone from up here! This is easy for me because I was always trained to think of my body in all three directions, but you'll get the hang of it!" She does another spin.
