What are your fan fiction gripes?

I am fully aware that my low stats are because it's a tiny fandom, but I'm still going to feel sorry for myself about it. That's for the one I consider my best work, and I am the closest thing to a BNF my fandom has.

 

Fair enough. Sometimes it works, and sometime it's useless.

 

Yeah tiny fandom is gonna make a huuuuuge difference! If that's the hits on tiny fandom fic like WHOA, DANG, HOT DAMN SON.

 

The hits:kudos:comments ratio struggle is real. Especially in small/dying fandoms, where you can compare yourself to the big, insanely popular fics from back in the day and just weep because all those people are just...gone. Moved on. There will probably never be anything like that kind of fandom response again

Basically, if there was a version of the "disappointed!" Hercules meme but with "validation...!"

 

At least The Kencyrath Fandom was always tiny.

 

And now I want sexy Jesus action figures.

 

This is the one thing that eases my suffering even a tad. Knowing that everyone has suffered this even before me. And will after me.

This is me, all the time. I'll often even go as far as typing out a comment, and then I'll look at it, realize how stupid everything I've written sounds, and resign myself to trying to telepathically communicate my enthusiasm through kudos.

 

an undertale fic just mentioned a character by the name of "metatron," who i have a feeling is actually meant to be mettaton.

but with all the ocs in the this fic, who knows? maybe there is a monster by the name of metatron, who bears no relation to metatton. metatron has definitely not done enough in the fic yet for me to really be able to tell. :P

 

I just want to imagine it is literally the angel Metatron.

 

the characters in this fic have also had "beasts" instead of breasts more than once

@Lizardlicks, how do you calculate ratios like that? My most kudos'd fic has 186 kudos and 2301 hits and I'm curious about the ratio there!

 

Oh! It's just basic "this number is is what percent of this number" stuff. I am a lazy laze so I put it into an app specifically for that like this one instead of long handing the formula.
