Its not really a headcanon cause i like a lot of different interpretations for the trolls, but blond feferi has always struck me as very cute. Also red haired nepeta with freckles :3
As I said in the Tumblr thread, my only really strong convictions are that Jane is not Caucasian when not Trickster, and that Cronus is not Italian-American or anything else fitting the greaser trope. I honestly love the Amporae as being from Ireland or Scotland and Cronus putting on an obnoxious fake accent which drops back into his real inappropriate one when he's agitated. And having lots of freckles and dyed black hair with mucky-blond roots showing. For some reason I latched onto the idea of the Leijons being Korean-Quebecois. "Leijon" just looks French-ish to me.
//crack knuckles the mmmmajority of my headcanons are mixed, but I haven't fleshed out All of them just yet—mainly the ones I RPed a lot, y'feel? Feferi usually ends up half Hawaiian, half Chinese—her dad was Chinese, but her mom Refuses to tell her anything about him—she does take Feferi to the festivals in Chinatown for the lunar new year, but they're a Big Deal in Hawai'i, so Feferi doesn't really see anything out of place with it Eridan's 1/2 Japanese (his mom!), and 1/4 Scottish and 1/4 Irish (his dad!). He speaks Japanese and I think Irish Gaelic fairly fluently, primarily because his grandparents spoke Gaelic well, and his mom taught him Japanese when he was little Sollux is half Korean and half English—his mom has a seriously heavy British accent (cockney, I think?)—and he sometimes makes jokes at Eridan about their contrasting racial tensions like the asshole he is Equius I kinda see as part Samoan? But I've seen a shitton of other really really good headcanons for him before, and I haven't super settled on one yet I do like the dyed blonde Vriska idea, I feel like that kinda fits with her personality? or at least bleaching to add other colors ... shit I think I lost track of the majority of my headcanons after dropping out of group RPs for a while. time to go digging
Okay, my most important Humanstuck headcanon is that Damara and Aradia are both half-Japanese on their mom's side, but they're half-sisters and Damara's dad was of English descent and Aradia's was Ashkenazi Jewish (because Megido is derived from a Hebrew word and all). Aradia looks more white/Jewish than Damara (though they do have similar facial features overall), but Damara could likely pass for 100% Japanese if she didn't have green eyes. Damara's fairly light-skinned with black hair and green eyes; Aradia's skin tone is a bit more olive (and Much Freckle), and her hair is more dark brown than pitch black, and her eyes are brown. Also Aradia's dad had floofy hair and she got it from him, because Aradia's floof is Very Important To Me. Let's see about the others from HS... The Pyropes are all natural redheads, but Latula dyes her hair various colors (generally bright red red, as opposed to ginger, but she's experimented with MANY others). They're also religiously Jewish, because Hussie made a joke on his Formspring 5evr ago about Terezi not knowing about Jegus because she is Troll Jewgish and I love that. Sollux is also a ginger, of the pasty-and-freckled variety. Mituna, however, has dark brown or black hair. They also both have heterochromia (genetic bullshit? Who Knows), with one blue eye and one brown one (each, obviously). Caliborn and Calliope are both some form of White As Fuck (because Caliborn just is lbr); also, Calliope is either a trans girl or has alopecia (hence the baldness) or even both, hence her feelings of being ugly. The Maryams are some flavor of Arab, though I'm undecided on where exactly their ancestry is from. They all have black hair, dark olive/tan skin, and green/hazel eyes. They're also some variety of Christian (likely Catholic), but very liberal Christians. (Kanaya was met with nothing but love and support from her family when she came out.) The Leijons are Swedish, and all blonde and green-eyed. I'm less decided on the others!
I have the Maryams as Syrian usually. The Serkets end up as Mexicans. I don't know why. Honestly a lot of the cast ends up Mexican. LOTS OF IT. Lalondes are usually Thai. wait the lalondes are human already FUCK
Grimly is a furry. Not just any furry. The kind that probably has weird dildos and tail buttplugs. THE GOOD KIND OF FURRY. He is a lanky fellow, though not nearly as thin as the Knorths. Taller though. More importantly though he is a furry fucking piece of trash and will occasionally remind you of this fact with something horrible and laugh about it.

Transformers kinda come with a built-in excuse for humanformers thanks to the holomatter avatars, which is handy... I've got a p developed headcanon for human!optimus thanks to tumblr rp; he's Hungarian, born just before the revolution in 1956, with messy blonde hair, glasses, and sometimes a stubbly chin that would like to be a beard but has not yet been allowed to get that far. He is a college professor with two PhDs, one in European History with a focus on the development of the modern relationship between European countries in general, and a second interdisciplinary PhD looking at the development of international law with respect to the histories studied in the first one. He is a perpetual bachelor living in an apartment with three cats and a lot of cacti and succulents. He is also a Lorg, at just under seven feet tall. His name is Oskar Juhasz. (One of my best friends plays a TFP smokescreen whose humanformer version is Oskar's godson or biological son depending the verse. Sam is a tiny blonde teenager attending a very good school thanks to dadimus' job. He acts out for attention, but mostly is a p good kiddo. Mostly.)
my humanstuck headcanons aren't super exciting because i looked up the etymology of either their first or last name (to avoid clusters of people from one spot) and went with people that spoke/speak that language more karkats with blood disorders that aren't really poorly researched for the angst factor, tho. i like stuff that ties into canon in clever ways, and i'd like to see that done for the kids my only solid headcanon is that dirk is white, and all the betas are biracial although dave is probably "white passing"
I think of the Vantases as Romani, what with Signless being a traveller and them being unfairly maligned for their blood. Serkets I think of as pasty-white blondes and Aranea thinks she knows a lot more about racial issues that don't affect her than she actually does. I usually picture the Derse dreamers as white-skinned, but non-white depictions of them also look great to me, but I strongly prefer when Dirk and Dave have straight hair; curls just don't look like their canon hairstyles to me at all and it feels jarring.
My special interest fandom is kind of boring for this because it's set in an analogue of Viking Britain, which doesn't leave much scope, and almost all the travellers from faraway lands are villains. The hamster might be an exception though, since they're from the Middle East. And for that matter rabbits were introduced to the country by the Romans from Spain around that time so they wouldn't be within the Celtic or Saxon range either.
Necroing this thread bc SU HUMANSTUCK HEADCANONS. I see a lot of people portraying human!Pearl as anorexic, and I can kiiiiinda see it, but know what would work better, IMO? Human!Pearl just being an unbelievably picky eater. It helps that I tend to headcanon her as sperg and it would make a lot of sense for her to have sensory issues with a lot of foods! (Especially considering that her canonical distaste for food seems to be largely a sensory thing, so...) Also, she's of Irish descent, with ginger hair, pale skin, blue eyes, and more freckles than is even remotely reasonable. Human!Amethyst is definitely adopted, and was shuffled through foster care for a good chunk of her childhood. Her adoptive family is Mexican-American, but Amethyst herself is somewhat ethnically ambiguous? I headcanon her as having brown eyes, tan skin, and dark dirty blonde hair that she dyes varying shades of purble, so honestly who knows what all went into that mix. Culturally she's pretty much Mexican-American though. She also has something along the lines of psychogenic dwarfism from the abuse and neglect she suffered as a kid--probably not to an extreme degree, but she's definitely well under five feet. her smol In human AUs where everyone is in the same age range, I tend to headcanon Ruby as Garnet's older sister and Sapphire as Ruby's long-time girlfriend. Ruby and Garnet are both black, and Sapphire is white (very light blonde hair and blue eyes, possibly Scandinavian or something). Also, somehow Garnet ended up with all the genes for height and curviness and such, and Ruby...did not, so people tend to assume Ruby is the younger of the two, despite her having a couple years on Garnet. And Garnet has heterochromia, with one brown eye and one kind of greenish-hazel eye; she also suffers from light sensitivity, hence her always wearing shades. It's not like she'll die if she takes them off, but she gets nasty migraines super easily if she doesn't wear 'em. In human AUs where Ruby and Sapphire are Garnet's moms, the racial headcanons are the same, but Garnet was adopted shortly after birth (possibly even at birth). She was likely born in England, and Ruby and Sapphire lived there for some time before they all moved back to the states when Garnet was older (probably ten-ish); Garnet was never able to shake her British accent, but she also has no desire to and rather likes it, so it's not actually an issue. Peridot is both ethnically and religiously Jewish, and has olive skin, green eyes, and hair that's naturally dark brown. She tried to bleach it. It did not go well.
In a human AU of The Looney Tunes Show, Taz would probably have to be an actual Tasmanian devil. He behaves and sounds more like one than a human, and looks about as much like one as the other characters look like humans. (Real ones are much smaller, black-furred, and have pointy snouts and definable necks. The teeth and jaw opening width are about right though.)
Yes they are! I think real ones are a bit small to pose enough of a danger to humans to cause a city-wide lockdown as happened in the show, so in a human AU there could be panic about him carrying diseases instead. I also like the idea of Bugs in a less wacky 'verse having been a child actor, hence his "unconventional youth" involving never attending high school, and the video of him being a sports star, ranch owner, astronaut, and president of Mexico.
A prime example of a sense of humour which makes me unsuited to Tumblr; my first thought on trying to translate Sylvester and Tweety's dynamic into something more befitting for humans was "I tawt I taw a pedophiwe". That's not really a headcanon though. These are my favourite depictions of the gang's human selves. Also had a vision of human Pepe Le Pew stinking because of being a heavy smoker.
*COMES IN HOT WITH MORE HEADCANONS SEVERAL MONTHS LATER* I used to headcanon Rose (Quartz, not Lalonde) as white and her surname actually being Quartz (and that's still what I have in most of my AUs), but I read a humanstuck once where she was mixed-race and her surname was Cortez and I really like that? She has slightly tanned skin and her hair is naturally dark brown (dyed pink, obvs), and brown eyes. Also, her bellybutton is pierced. Jasper is Mexican, solely because she's Amethyst's cousin by adoption. She has a lot of tattoos on her arms and a nasty scar on her face from a fight she got into in middle school. Also, she's definitely a fashion major, because FASHION JASPER IS IMPORTANT. She has brown skin, kind of hazel eyes, and her hair is naturally black, but she bleaches the fuck out of it. Somehow it's still thick, strong, and silky. No one knows what her fucking secret is. Lapis is at least mostly Hawaiian, with brown skin, naturally dark brown hair but you'd never know because she even dyes her eyebrows, what the fuck Lapis, and blue eyes because why the fuck not. She's definitely an art major, and pretty much the only reason she put effort into anything in high school was so she wouldn't get kicked off the swim team, and that was mostly because she was their star swimmer and they didn't want her off the team. And then UNSPECIFIED TRAUMA BULLSHIT and she left the swim team because trauma reasons and wound up throwing herself into art as a distraction and going to art school. While Jewish Peridot is still my usual headcanon (and her humanstuck surname is Zimmerman in all my fics because of reasons, figure it out), I also really like the idea of Muslim Arab Peridot who wears the hijab primarily as a comfort object (and because Rules And Routines Are Good). Somehow it always looks a little bit triangular on her and no one is sure why, Peridot included. Also, in all my headcanons she's short due to a bone disorder of some sort, and had to wear leg braces for a good chunk of her early life.
Modern human AU Samkim in my head is a Korean trans boy who kept his neutral-sounding birth name. He was named after a female fan called Samantha Kim on this side of the fourth wall, and his name fits the double-syllable pattern a lot of Korean names use - I don't think the syllables actually make an in-use Korean name, but a lot of the cast have names that are obviously not real names too. Meanwhile, Thura from the same book is cis but his parents wanted a girl, hence his slightly feminine name.
