I generally truncate all posts I reply to. I do hope no-one's been offended, but the link is in the quote to go to the original post if you want to read the whole thing and I'm not reproducing an entire long post (especially one where multiple people are talking, or where one person is responding to multiple people). I basically just want people to be able to see the part of the post I'm replying to so my character's post makes sense, even if it's not a reply to the one just above it.

 

I knew it was either you, @Aondeug or @Lazarae.

And Lindi is not angsty enough to be an @Aondeug character.

I like how I am known for my incredibly angsty and mopey characters with horrible tragic backstories.

 

as a hexer, kormt is very sensitive to dark magic and curses, so she's understandably very unnerved by the fact that dave has in the past been in contact with gamzee and lil cal. ESPECIALLY lil cal.

she'd probably pass out in fear if she ever met bro

 

whenever i draw something like the abomination i just created, i like to imagine dave sitting down to draw his vision IMMEDIATELY and then just wordlessly holding it up

 

kormt is really sweet and i am really pleased with how she's getting fleshed out considering this is all the first i've ever written about my etrian odyssey ocs since the character ideas came into my head while i was playing the game

 

how did you get all those pictures for your eo ocs?

 

they are each one of four in-game character portraits for each of the etrian odyssey 2 classes. all but kerlaugr and voluspa are also classes from the first game.
i found the sprites here

i also have all the character portraits from the first game, which you can just get from the wiki under the pages for each class

 

note: there is no beast, fafnir, highlander, or sovereign in guild arnbjörg's ranks, the beast because i just started the second game and haven't unlocked it yet, and the other three because i haven't played either of the remakes of eo1 and eo2

 

The icons are making the post pretty impossible to parse for me, Would you be ok using less? I can just ignore the account if you´re not, no worries.

 

the thing about the icons is that they make it easier for me to parse my own posts and keep track of who is saying what, so that i don't start mixing the characters and their lines apart

and separate posts don't really work with the way i'm roleplaying the guild.

the most i can do for you is only have one member respond to your characters at a time like i do with nyanko daisensou, but it'd only be for your characters

 

Reverse!Pines Ford is present. Just So You Know. He's not as much of an asshole as reverse Fords usually are because I'm categorically incapable of writing Stanford Pines as an irredeemable asshole, but he is a fucking chaos mage. And Lissa's his Shakti. They channel a lot of energies that aren't necessarily destructive, but they can easily be used that way.

Also, there's an actual demon (Lindi) present.

IDK, but I think that all three of these people are probably more "tainted" than Dave Strider.

 

Do they have to be twice the size of our avatars? I really dislike them because of the size. It gives me the mental impression that they are twice as big as our characters and are peering at us through a giant porthole, and it's super unnerving--except for the times when I've thought they were reaction images. The artist's style is very consistent and the characters don't look that different, so it's not helping ME keep the characters from getting mixed up.

Why is that? I'm really curious, I'm not fucking with you. There was a time when most of the Pines family other than Ford and Vali themselves were in my NPC account in WT because I didn't know subaccounts were unlimited, but I would never have had multiple members of the family speaking in one post unless I was using a narrative style (with paragraphs and everything said in quotation marks*) and probably not even then.

Please do likewise for me if that's all you can do, and please consider making the icons avatar-sized rather than reaction image-sized. It is really visually disorienting.

I'm not going to put the account on ignore, but it's hard to read, and I'm pretty sure I miss important stuff because it's hard to read.

 

dave is about thiiiiiiiiis close to doing some sort of swan dive off the handle at the idea that people can just Tell about what kind of shit happened with bro, heh

 

as far as i'm concerned, no other characters exist to mine until i am interested in responding to them, or if they say something directly to mine and i can think of a response, because it strikes me as a polite gesture to make an attempt to respond to prompts to roleplay as i see them, even if i'm not particularly interested in the line of conversation or am struggling to think of what my character should say

trying to pay attention to everything that happens in the rave is unmanageable, so it is necessary to only let an amount of things exist to my characters that i can handle

sure, i can try to make them more icon-sized and more consistent, but only when i actually find the time and spoons to do so

it's a lot easier to tell the icons apart when you've seen the full sprites, but i must have forgot to indicate in the signature that brief information and sprites for each character is in the subaccount's information section since i ran out of spoons while preparing the subaccount

it is hard for me to write a conversation between several characters when each character is under a different subaccount, because when each character has such a short line, the post buffer becomes a huge barrier that hurts my ability to bounce the conversation between the characters. i also have to deal with the added difficulty of constantly having to switch to both the correct subaccount, as well as the correct way that the character speaks, without the icons present to help me keep track of things. grouping the responses together makes writing them less of a drain on my time and spoons, and helps me stay organized and be able to write a fluid conversation

it's not something i'm used to, but the shitposting rave is a useful place for practice and experimentation, since the roleplay is about as casual as you can get
