The English patch is here. You can find the Japanese ROM on emulator sites (or buy a Japanese cartridge and rip it, if you want to be legal), and some emulator sites might even have the pre-patched English ROM, I don't know. In AAI2, he gets another super special secret lawyer superpower: TALKING TO PEOPLE. It's great fun. :::PPP

Christmas is a horrible time in the Ace Attorney world and poor Miles deserves a holiday that isn't full of terrible flashbacks for once
I was told to liveblog the third AA game literally nearly three years ago and am only getting close to done with it NOW and totally forgot because it takes me a million years to do anything (maybe less so now that I've graduated) but I'm working my way through the final case in AA3 and I have thoughts. One of those thoughts is: Edgeworth is canonically gay. He charts a fucking plane when Phoenix is hurt to fly across the country and agrees to pretend to be a defense attorney and enlist his sister (wlw-mlm solidarity amirite franziska's a lesbian) in order to lie to a judge and then consistently has NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT LARRY IS TALKING ABOUT WHENEVER HE MENTIONS WOMEN. Larry's like "wow that girl iris is so hot right she's such a cutie im in love with her" and Edgeworth is like "what. what do you want larry. that is my client. i literally don't comprehend what you're saying currently." and Larry is like "you were a man once! (he literally syas this what does this mean) shy women are cute! you know what i mean?" and Edgeworth just... ignores him. I have videos of this. I will post videos. I hardly even remember the rest of the game because it's been so long since I started playing it because I was like slowly working on it while also occasionally dying which means I may need to replay, but honestly I was kind of waiting for the reappearance of Edgeworth the whole time. I love him and I LOVE playing as him. His thought process is always so much fun and also... so competent... compared to everyone else.... So snarky... so ready to fight... Playing as Mia was SUPER cool too. I just suddenly remembered other parts of the game. I love Mia. She and Lana were in love. Shes a great woman and I love her intense vendetta against Dahlia because she wanted justice and couldn't stand that kind of manipulation, and the fact that she picks up this pathetic crybaby art student by the scruff and turns him into a good lawyer, like the entire College Feenie and Mia dynamic really proves to me that she kinda views him as a little brother/mentee which makes so much since because he's definitely a BIG brother figure to Maya later on.
