after some consideration, i made a forum called "Radical Opacity", which only mods and admins can see. The forum is itself a subforum of a forum only admins can see. Also, no one has permission to view threads in that forum. Not even me. So I can post threads there, but I can't view the contents of those threads once they're posted. Snitch made a "radical opacity" thread, which is now also moved there. I really feel like we've been falling short when it comes back to SUPER SECRET mod stuff, and I've seen places with as many as four or five distinct levels of hierarchy with secret forums, but we're the first place I've been that has a forum where even admins can't read even their own posts.
it just occurred to me that the nature of the radical opacity forum makes it so no one can actually prove there are any threads in it at all whoa
Okay, but can you set it so you can see the threads by everyone but yourself, and still none of the contents?
Okay so if I did it right, it's now set so that moderators can see threads by other people, but not the contents of threads, but admins still can't see threads by other people.
i gotta say i'm pretty concerned about the radical transparency thread for a thread that claims to be "radical" it sure is lacking in wicked stunts
yeah, well, we were thinking of calling it the "cool" transparency thread, or the "awesome" transparency thread, because those are pretty much the same thing. honestly, what it actually means is either that it's the length of the side of a square transparency thread, or that it's a transparency thread with a free valence electron.
anyway long story short i really hate the whole "secret forums" thing and would rather make fun of it than do it
also are you able to put a subforum in the radical opacity forum where even admins can't see the contents?
In theory I could make this one work that way, I just thought it was funnier if I could see threads but not their contents.
That thread of Snitch's is driving me nuts because I can't make it not do the bold "there are things here you haven't read" thingy. XD
i am glad to know that! mostly i'm offering ways to take the joke to further and stupider levels of reference
