Between File Island and Server Continent:
Theory 1: Every Digimon is a single program (a Digi.mon). Attacks are attempts at forceful decompilation.
Theory 2: Every Digimon is an account type of thing. Attacks are akin to hacking attempts, with different styles of attacks and elements constituting different hacking styles and methods.

This also happens to cats and is extremely gross. I am willing to pay a vet $40 to deal with it plus the office visit because you can fix it at home but you have to live there afterwards.

I grew up in West Virginia and lived there till I was 17 and I have never heard of those before. WOW. (I'm from Charleston though.)

I have celiac disease, but I'd eat a gluten-free version.

And I thought Monster Falls was weird. (Although I want to sleep on SphinxFord.)

Also, thanks for the Bone Hurting Juice explanation, this has been confusing me for days.

Amelie Lacroix had the world's worst fashion sense. She'd swing wildly between wearing ill fitting and uncoordinated but comfortable clothing and slapping on whatever she figured would best show off her assets to distract from the fact that she doesn't understand how colors go together or how to evenly apply makeup. Gerard found this endlessly endearing, and used to joke about how many awful awful choices she could get away with by virtue of being just like mega hot. Which eventually led to a running sorta contest between the two of them to see who could pull off the objectively worst aesthetic disaster. Gerard won by growing a pencil mustache for their wedding.

Also, they dressed as Morticia and Gomez Adams for Halloween every year the entire time they were together.

There's a not insignificant part of the Finalizer's staff that thinks Kylo Ren wears a mask and never bares any skin where any of them can see because he's an alien. There's a not insignificant part of those who think he's not human who believe he is a baby whatever it is he is. A larval eldrich horror, or just an ill tempered wookie toddler or something.

Lars changed his name informally at the start of middle school; the main reason for the change is that he was sick of people getting his name wrong (Larry and Jeremy were common assumptions), since Laramie isn't a terribly common name. He picked Lars after that guy from Metallica, since it was close enough to his given name to work fairly well without too much need to adjust. (As shown in canon, his parents are still not 100% used to it and slip up frequently, but they're trying.)

#this is incidentally the reason i changed my name at the same point in my life

It's canon that Garnet is really good at Meat Beat Mania, implicitly because her future vision allows her to cheat at it. And I have a few headcanons about that:

-Garnet doesn't actually notice that she's using future vision when she's playing; it's less conscious cheating and more accidental.
-Sapphire on her own would actually be even better at MBM and similar games. (This, of course, assumes that Ruby is not in the same room at the time.)
-Garnet is actually incredibly good at most video games, since it's so trivially easy for her to know exactly what to do and when in a low-stakes and low-chance situation like that. She enjoys rhythm games because they're calming, but she's also a goddamn master at FPS-type games. (She's a little less good in multiplayer mode, because sapient beings are inherently going to present more possible futures than an AI possibly could, but she's still pretty fucking astonishing.)
-Garnet's favorite Pokemon games are Ruby and Sapphire, because of course they are. (Relatedly, Emerald may or may not be named Garnet in the SU 'verse.)

In TAZ, I headcanon that the Raven Queen has a hardcore cockney accent, so Kravitz fakes one while he's at work as a weird kind of tribute to her. He's an enormous dork who loves his boss.

Garnet was, at one point in the very distant past, the Queen of England; English accents became a Thing as a result. The other CGs were more than a little baffled when they visited Garnet during her tenure as queen, especially because she never disclosed what exactly she was doing there. It doesn't help that historical records from that time are pretty sparse, so pretty much all anyone (save for Garnet herself and her components, obviously) knows is that she was queen and had a major historical impact of some sort.

Regardless, because of Garnet's influence, England had always been a bastion of LGBT+ acceptance in the SU 'verse. It's kind of hard to be too homophobic when your beloved queen is two lesbians in a very fancy outfit.

And the Royal Guard's hats are definitely based on her hair. She's a bit weirded out by that part.

As an addendum to the above, homosexuality and same-gender relationships and such have always been a lot more accepted in the SU 'verse, due to the Gems' influence. There's not actually much of a difference in terms of how common it is compared to our world; it's just not really viewed as a big deal among the vast majority of humans at this point.

There have also been several transmasculine Crystal Gems in the past, who realized during their time on Earth that they felt more comfortable with masculine pronouns and different default forms. As such, transgender stuff is also a lot better in the SU 'verse, though it's not quite as universally (no pun intended) accepted as gayness. The medical options for trans people are a lot better too, because it's been relatively accepted for a lot longer.

Not sure if this is lighthearted or horrifying, but... considering the effects of the stuff on real animals and the other effects on humans, Mossflower's equivalent of opium is chocolate.
