it's a weird christian thing, but it's been around for a while. my sister's bff is named Heaven, and they're about to turn 30 this year

In sort of the same vein, Rehtaeh. It's Heather backwards, pronounced ruh-TEY-a. Sounds interesting but uh... congrats your child is going to have to spell her name for everyone forever and everyone is going to mispronounce it

 

the guy who did those adorable undertale voiceactings with the actual small child had his nephew star in them.

said nephew's middle name is "Danger"

all his other names are normalish

so there's a kid, somewhere, named Pierson Danger Young (yes, the guy put his nephew's full name online)

 

1) don't put your kids' full names online
2) oh my god that's actually wonderful, now he can say "Danger is my middle name" and mean it literally

sounds like a Culture ship name, or a name spat out by the Protective Tub autonamer for Creatures.

 

"Geneva" for a girl. As in, you know, the Swiss city, or the Convention. Sure, it's pretty, but you're setting her up for some weird jokes later in life.

 

Eeeh, unless you are living near Switzerland, I don't think most people would blink at it. Hell if it's in the US, probably a good chance a lot of people have never even heard of it, or if that have, don't know or understand much about it.

Spotted at work today: Chassidy. Guess they just couldn't pick between Cassidy and Chastity.

 

So I don't have any proof that any baby was actually named this (thank god). But I was reading through a list of 4-letter baby names because my birth name is 4 letters and I've been thinking of changing to one that also has 4 letters, and on that list...

Technically it was this guy's middle name, but…
