Can't get rid of them completely if it were possible. They're usually prophetic. Can't tell for shit what you're supposed to represent though, other than slightly terrifying docterrorists. (As opposed to utterly terrifying docterrorists, which is the norm.)

 

Silima can't believe what she's seeing. It's been sweeps--quite a few of them--since her mother disappeared. Silima has been staying with Farrat and his Owldad ever since pouchtiger mom went out to hunt and didn't come back. It was a bad sweep for the Tasman caverns that year, and she normally wouldn't have gone hunting out in the woods where the dreaming rock was, but...there wasn't a lot of rain, or foliage, or game, that year.
