OK! I was just trying to imagine going out in public without a jacket in short sleeves on an average day here outside of late May-early June or late August-early October (as I've mentioned, July is usually hell, Mark Twain wasn't kidding about the worst winter he ever experienced being a summer in SF), especially in the area where most of the tech works are, and it was a ginormous NOPE.

The fog is not actually that bad unless you are right near the water or you are trying to drive in it.

paintedCurrent, Maksim Bruadr, tealblood pale bike. Officially <> with Battur, but he's bad at pale monogamy. Also he doesn't get a lot back from Battur, and despite presenting himself as a Pillar of Stability he does that because he's a wreck and can't fall apart if people/his moirail are counting on him. Most people in his social circle who pick up on this instantly have to fight pale feels. He and Anmula fill red buckets and he fills black with Karwan, because as an adult he's always got too much shit on his plate for non-pale romance.

midnightWaters, Battur Forcys, awful fishtroll. Maksim's moirail. Made of determination with a side of anger.

Of them Maksim is my favorite.

Anmula is ace, though I don't know who her black bucket is when I play her as an adult. I want to say Battur to keep things neat, but he's all about Appearances is probably always quadranted even if he doesn't give a shit about the person in them, and she is so not up for being a trophy spade.

Thanna has a classic hopeless and transparent pale crush on Anmula, who is of course oblivious.
