ayup! It looked sorta like it was trying to figure out how to disperse the mana, and then a bunch of flowers were trying to find a spreader they could put it in, or something?
oooh, its probably a problem with the way thermalillies work. They constantly try to consume lava. I thought I turned off the spout, but I might not have. And it was behaving a bit weird, I had to set the flowers to the spreaders manually. I'm pretty much done with botania for the time being anyways, I only need little bits of mana now, and I have more than enough for that. I'll just set it up when/if I end up needing more at some point.
Oddly, leaving the thermalillies up seemed to be okay? Taking away the spreaders fixed things. I know there was a bug sometime recently, or a behavior change, or something, with thermalillies, but they don't seem to be causing the thing. The lava was still there. So, no clue. Maybe a spreader bug.
Thermalilies don't even give all that much mana anyway, a bunch of endoflames eating coal blocks produces way more mana per flower per minute. Admittedly you then have to make coal or charcoal blocks.
My base is powered by lava, so its a much easier source for me. Though, I have multiple thousands of coal and charcoal in my computer. I have an endoflame setup as well. And a hydroangea setup for passive power.
Oh, that explains the lag I was getting. Was really confused, since my internet was fine. Didn't occur to me that it might be the server. Unrelated note: Is there a portal in The End? I don't know the code for it (if there is one), and I have no idea where the actual stronghold portal is
I don't know of a portal in the End, but I believe there's a portal somewhere sorta near origin. Possibly in Lory's temple? Look for a white temple with pretty water features and such, I think.
Has the framerate issue at the spawn been fixed? Last time I tried to play, I couldn't, because I was getting 1 frame per minute or so.
It might be a bit better, but it's still moderately bad, and it may or may not be fixable without, say, nuking a bunch of stuff. We just have a lot of weird and possibly-interesting stuff all accumulated there.
Alright. I may join this afternoon, would it be possible to basically teleport me out since I can't move on my own? (I played a while ago, but basically want to start over)
Flowers will only bond to spreaders that were already there when the flower was placed. Depending on the settings you can actually remove the spreader and the flower will dump mana to where it thinks the spreader is. If you have NEI on the server you can just search "end portal" and maybe even cheat one in? Regrowth used to reward the player for a quest with end portal blocks (unless it just added a way to craft them), then it switched to rewarding them with end portal frame blocks, but they're picky about how they're placed and now you get an End Portal Placer put in with Quadram.
