Spoiler: wanted speculation I'm betting on: White Diamond shattered Pink Diamond via our Pearl, who was also her personal Pearl. The gem positions match up.
Spoiler honestly i think theres something fucky going on w/ white diamond but the fact that yellow was pushing SO heavily for them to get the trial over with + whats the use of feeling blue + reacting so SWIFTLY to the implication that one of them could have done it makes me think she definitely had something to do with it
Spoiler If it was a Pearl who did it, maybe she was projecting a hologram. Or, actually, more simply, it could have been pretty much any gem with a similar colour scheme shapeshifting. Now I come to think of it, eyewitnesses don't actually mean all that much in this universe.

Spoiler i can sorta see it, but for me it's so strong that she feels like a red herring. blue and yellow exist as contrasts in their experience of grief. blue's all about her tears, the absence, the longing, the resentment, clinging to what she still has left. yellow's all about anger and erasure, about making unwanted things and situations cease to exist. she's rushing things because this is an absurd sham of a trial, with hardly any gathering of evidence or testimony, done for either some social norm of homeworld gems or to satisfy blue's curiosity. white, though, still exists, but hasn't actually appeared yet. we don't know what white's agenda or methods are like, no idea whether she grieves for pink. if i remember right, white's art featured the most planets, like she's the oldest and most in-charge of them. pink, though, just had 1 in that art. earth might have been her first or second planet. gems like the rose quartzes were hers, and so far there's been this trend where a lot of gems have temperaments sorta reflective of their diamonds'. so what's that say for what pink was all about? and does that have something to do with why steven/our rose has so many freaking powers?

Spoiler: wanted i like the pink magic lars. mostly 'cause i am a shallow little thing that often goes for sci-fi/fantasy flash over earthy humanity. and 'cause i want him on homeworld with the off-colours to be a subplot. and i'm glad that steven is no longer the only boy magic person. and since he doesn't have a gem, i realized that he can be both magic and undetectable. and lars' fear is really #relatable. especially his anxieties around baking that he mentioned, since i have similar ones about art. i really liked zircon. and poly gramma caterpillar fusion! and wow... the reveals. the reveals and the questions.
