Kale and all cabbage has to happen to other people. Iceberg is made of boring, romaine is good, spinach is good but only if raw. If heat is applied it becomes unappetizing gloop. For dressings, I honestly donĀ“t discriminate much. All depends on your salad.
sweet dressings bad, ranch bad, savory vinaigrettes generally yummy, caesar is too salty but edible in small amounts when in doubt douse with black pepper and just. so much red wine vinegar. an eighth of an inch at the bottom of the bowl. swim, my lettuces occasionally add some olive oil to above train wreck i hate lettuce with really large middle sections. the white middle bits? bad. also lettuce with too many holes or brown bits. i spend a good ten or more minutes dissecting my lettuce in preparation for salad, but i do that with all vegetables and ESPECIALLY fruit. i don't eat fruit a lot. too many unpleasant variables. tabbouleh is indeed heaven cole slaw from KFC is hell all sweet cole slaws are the devil's minions
I once read a book that described tabbouleh as "the only kind of salad worth chewing," and while the pedantic part of my brain pointed out that tabbouleh is chopped so fine you don't need to do MUCH chewing and that caprese salad also exists, the phrase stuck in my head as true in spirit. :::PPP
I love all coleslaw, creamy and vinegary, except for that one finely chopped green coleslaw you can get in tubs at the grocery store (because I ate way too much of it once). Kimchi and sauerkraut are also A+. Tabouleh is just too bland for me.
Caesar salad is good if i dont put too much dressing on. A place around here had one with like pancetta and a fried egg in it and it was so yum i bought ingredients to make it at home like 4 times I hat fattoush salad a while ago and i forget whether i liked it much? I ate it but it might have been too vinegary for me (i literally dont remember if it even had vinegar, i just recall liking it but not loving it) Salads with olives are for other people Pasta salad can be ok and bland enough to be a food but i forget what dressing i liked on it. Italian? Edit: oh and years ago i made a recipe with like chard and sausage maybe? I forget, but it was interesting. The moral of the story is i have a bad memory and like to eat food
They imbue it with the Power of Olives which is 2 Strong for me he no like The olives Bitter Everett no olives
Although what does everyone think of pineapple pizza? Because I don't hate it, but I don't love it either, and I'm the only one I know who isn't really for or against it? It's there. It exists. It's preferable to pizza tainted by olives but nowhere near as good as pizza with meat on it like pizza is supposed to have.
Someone brought breakfast pizza to work a few weeks ago from some local restaurant, it was really good and had pineapple I enjoy pineapple ham pizza although it can be done badly
I love pineapple and I love pizza but I do not like pineapple that has been cooked in cheese and tomato sauce. That is an affront to pineapple.
