Yeah there's this thing called "moving away from the source" which might not be possible for you, admittedly, but still helps a lot more for us with physical noise than comms, given... well, I dunno about Scanner, but my range for-- [he gestures vaguely at one audio--] tested out at a couple hundred miles.
