A certain class of explosive alt mode; really it's only supposed to be one alt in any given wave, but, well, 'improvements' happen. One mech, one suicide bomb good for a pretty damn big explosion. Usually got did to the traitors and criminals the bosses didn't just murder immediately;
by the time they had the triggers figured out, we were running low enough on sparks that actual MTOs weren't looking like such a good idea anymore.

Gotta say, though, I agree with dead-and-burny there; when you've got just one guy at the top, killing 'em and putting another single guy on the throne don't do jack. Slag, just look at the Bots for proof of that.

*sighs* You're probably right, ethically, at least, but... we don't really know what else to do. The Condesce is gonna try to invade Pennarion, and it would really suck if she succeeded. And Alternia already sucks, and it would be great if it... stopped sucking, you know...

And yeah, killing her won't change Alternia's social system, but it might, it might, stop the Condesce from imposing it on Pennarion...

 

Valiska takes the string and lets it lie on the "floor" for a moment, moving suddenly just as they pounce. Someday she'll play with her kits like this.

War is war. I'm not gonna tell you not to survive by any means necessary. But somethin' tells me Kankri's goal wasn't just survival.

 

*sighs* Yeah. I know. He's the Signless, after all... A revolutionary, not... whatever we are. And what he needs to accomplish his goal is not the same as what us on Pennarion need for ours.

Well, no, but... I do think if we put up a good fight on Pennarion, Alternia will know not to mess with us again.

Anyway. What I meant when I said before, that you were a revolutionary, is that your goals aren't the same as ours. That you wanna radically change how Alternian society is set up, not just stop some assholes from attacking the people you care about.

And a movement has formed up behind you.

Sometimes "how about we don't all be dicks to each other" is a revolutionary idea, dude. And if I understand right that was kinda your jam?

I mean, fair. I don't know a lot about your actual situation over there-- what was that about a gate this Empress wouldn't be able to reopen?-- but taking out the current ruler doesn't actually work most of the time, 'specially in a system with succession already set up. Heck, sometimes it makes slag worse-- look at the Ammonites, or Sentinel, or Zeta.
