this is from a satisfied (hamilton) animatic i was watching. it's a door in angelica's mind, leading to her memories of the winter's ball where she and eliza met hamilton. and it's hilarious 'cause, when i saw the word "ball" on the door like that, memes came to mind first (the undertale ball game, "ball so hard," etc.) and so i started laughing my ass off.

Fandom Bro replies with photo of MASSIVE INDUSTRIAL LASER CNC at his work, asks if I think that would be sufficient.

After a moment to go "holy shit dude can I come rub my face on it" I tell him I'm just spitballing but would have to guesstimate that his machine might be just a teensy bit overpowered for this application.

Choir Bro #2 says "so is driving a Ferrari to the corner store for a candy bar but you can still do it."

I clarify that this particular kind of "overpowered" would leave nothing of the tortilla but some ashes and a faint smell of burning flour.

Choir Bro #2 replies, "is that a problem?"

To which I reply, "IT IS IF YOU WANT A FANCY ENGRAVED TORTILLA"

So now we're brainstorming ways to nerf the massive industrial laser CNC to make it work with a tortilla. Choir Bro #2 suggested stacking tortillas, but that won't work because stacking would throw the focus off. I thought maybe applying guac to the tortilla before engraving might help, but would also negatively impact the shelf life of the tortilla post-engraving.

(TBH I would kind of like to see massive industrial laser CNC vs. tortilla just for lulz)

 

So would I. Maybe a series of videos while you test your theories.

 

Have to take that up with Fandom Bro, my laser isn't the ridiculously OP one. :)
