What's silk dancing? What's silk

 

Ah-- sorry, short for a certain kind of mesh-- the originals were made outta silver and chrome, but those don't actually do too good at holding weight so modern silks have a different composition even though the name stuck. Anyway! Silk dancing's entirely done in root mode, no thrusters or antigravs allowed. Lengths of the mesh hang down from the ceiling of your performance space-- or outside, sometimes you'll see other fliers holding 'em steady, but that's more a group performance. You use the silks to keep yourself in the air and to accentuate the movements of the dance itself!
