A friend of mine in the Suikoden fandom has mentioned encountering a fic where two characters had sex immediately after one of them had been stabbed.
... Duuude, you totally shoulda got the 'bortion... what is it w/ these authors, just because mpreg is a thing doesn't mean it makes bloody sense to the plot to go through with it. The middle of a gangwar in a relationship that's barely two months old is not the sort of time that a hardened criminal with a high likelihood of getting shot at in the near future is likely to be like "Breganate is defs a thign I would like to be right now, boy howdy!"
@Lambda My wonderful source of many rant quotes, relativelylessimportant of Tumblr, once had to say in a sporking that he doesn't think the word "slit" is a good euphemism at the best of times, "much less a page after one of the participants slit her wrists".
(Side note, if my bf thought I'd gotten an abortion without consulting him, and his first reaction is to flip his shit, tell me I had no right, and accuse me of murder, I would consider that a goddamn dealbreaker.)

Wait. I only know of one panther-impregnation fic…is this the Gundam WING one, or are there multiple? (buried lede: I know of one panther-impregnation fic. My early fandom experience was extremely informative.)
This may be more of a classification/tagging gripe, but... <attempt to reconnect with an OTP from a series read years ago> <first two pages of fic for the pairing sorted by kudos are protagonist/everyone fics or only feature the pairing in a minor way>

there isn't even an attempted justification for why he's pregnant with panther furries it's just accepted. what.
I am 99% relieved and 1% disappointed there is still only one panther-mpreg fic. (Honestly, that fic is in my opinion arguably one of the less offensive/disturbing works by that particular author, but then I've always considered OOC-ness a worse sin than bizarre, nonsensical plotting. Anyway, there's also the one where Duo gets impregnated by his Gundam.)
