in my headcanon, trolls are reproductively male and drones and the mother grub are the females, but karkat didn't take Meteor Journey Sex Ed so he doesn't particularly care about the finer details of that

I am also absolutely flabbergasted by Valiska's statement that she thinks the Reverse Pines would take Wrench and potentially Marcus home with them if they could, because she might be right. Not that that's possible, but Lissa already has a bit of a harem at home, or so I thought, but apparently men who are seriously involved with another woman (and I'm pretty sure all of them are) count as playmates, not potential partners, whereas with a male couple all you have to do is get both of them. Which is...actually very catteish, isn't it? Catte gender politics, why are you so confusing?

See that makes sense to me too, but the trolls in WT, like HS trolls, consider themselves male and/or female, and the Fords don't question it because that's rude, so they are confuse. I would think that there could be more than one mating-type and that the MG could be "female" and the other two troll genders could be "something elses" but idk.

my general headcanon is that male/female gender among trolls specifically is mostly social, but also describes innate bits of themselves that don't necessarily have to do with reproduction, like caste/the gender of their lusus/parts of their personality and interests that align with specific roles in troll society (which is why my normal!karkat is whatever the troll equiv of cis is, while my human!karkat is a trans dude)

 

the omega church knows is the omega ai from red vs blue, the series he's from. that ai played an important role in the plot and has a connection to church, and thus the omega symbol on @Omega's forehead caught church's attention, even though both me and church know (though church is not 100% certain) that the omega in the rave is not the omega ai.

 

At least you don't keep having intrusive unwanted thoughts about ABO bullshit (and no I don't mean blood types, YKIOKBIINMFuckingK) or wondering if the reason the wolf ran away from Lissa's wolf is that he's an omega wolf (which is actually nothing like ABO BS, did I say YKIOKOBIINMFuckingK yet?)
