one of my aunts ONLY eats eggs this way, she made one for me for breakfast and I, an adult, was reduced to mooshing it around on my plate like a guilty five-year-old with a plate of unwanted broccoli.

I have never met a mustard I liked. Mustard is a quick way to ruin anything :c

    I do love vinegar tho

my family's traditional xmas breakfast includes Tomato Eggs(tm) which can range from "huh not bad" to "why this"

my dad likes using salsa and my granddad would use like canned diced tomatos and it would apparently wind up like pink porridge. @ my family why this

Also, eggs are good and can make rice into a Full Meal if you scramble one egg per serving into the pot as its finishing cooking. Eggrice eggrice bring me the eggrice

Poaching an egg in chicken noodle soup can be good too. using minestrone soup instead can be good or can be "noooo"

Runny egg yolks on warm buttered toast is nice but can be too rich to eat much of, for me

Edit: oh and mustard is a good condiment but i prefer dijon or honey mustard over like Yellow Mustard From Vinegar Land

i've never had apples with cheese, and i'd like to try it, but the unadulterated applesperience is too good for me to give up

i like caramel apples in theory, and when they're sliced and i can dip at my leisure, but a whole apple has a terrible apple:caramel ratio and is too messy to eat

Speaking of eggs and things made with eggs, how do people feel about french toast generally? Im kinda over it by now, its just sweet eggy bread -_-

In the same vein, (edit: do you prefer) waffles or pancakes?

Brie and pear is an established combo, would recommend but its been a while since i had it

    Frerf toaot
(reverses footage so it just shows me taking french toast off my plate and putting it back where it came from)
In the last couple of years ive also kind of lost my taste for it. It tends to just taste like eggs at the restaurants ive had it at? Eggbred. Drown the eggbred in syrup, congrats now you can only eat 1.5 slices and you're ready to sleep

Edit: waffles have Cronch and i like them

Has anyone had Finnish pancakes, i'm in the finnish part of canada and theyre a thing. Theyre not quite like crepes but i find them almost greasy? Or maybe they just dont absorb butter very well. I find i can only eat half as much as i get at restaurants or i feel sick

Sometimes you just want a sweet breakfast
And french toast involves a lot less prep and cleanup than purely batter-based breakfast items

I make mine with molasses and ginger and real maple syrup it good.
also I'll eat pretty equal amounts of waffles and pancakes as all breakfast foods were created equal.

french toast is too messy to be worth it, i like waffles and pancakes; pancakes are easier but waffles are associated in my brain as Extra Effort and therefore Extra Special

i love the mac n cheese discussion. one of those situations where i sit back as i scroll and go 'yes, we are indeed having the Human Experience'

im bad at words but does anyone else get happy and content feels from people just chilling and or conversing

my main disagreement with mac and cheese is overcooked noodles, and if you make the cheese sauce from a roux and haven't cooked it long enough, so the flour isn't broken down enough and feels grainy :(

I know you're supposed to use stale bread for french toast, but when I do it with regular bread it's awesome. Basically like pancakes except they're more liquid on the inside.

  16. Why would you do that

  17. Buddy you're supposed to use thick slices of white bread, like off-the-shelf "Texas toast" bread.

Yeah its best with thicker bread like texas toast i think. Regular bread shrivels up all sad like

Depends on the recipe, actually, it was initially created to get something out of stale bread.
