the legs turned out okay, but they're probably going to be ruined. :P I am terrible with colored pencils, but her colors are so pretty...

 

@swirlingflight THING I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO TELL YOU BUT IS IN THE SOURCE MATERIAL I PROMISE I'M NOT BULLSHITTING: the buildings are not burning very effectively, mostly because thatch is not as flammable as it looks. there's a lot of smoke (it rained recently and pretty regularly throughout the spring), and there are some smallish fires (say about campfire size?) providing light, but none of the buildings are in danger of immediate collapse or anything. there are plenty of other ways to get yourself killed, though, especially if you're two feet tall. :c

uh, and roll me a Persuasion check so I can get a feel for exactly how awed they are, please?

 

Ha ha, oh no! I'm leaving it as is, it's funny to think Thunder's fresh off a decade at sea and developed a real paranoia of fires. Lemme go roll a die and edit that in there...

back for my birthday I got myself a new set of dice and decided to get a set for Thunder because check out these colors

 

I just realized when i was looking at my spells earlier that produce flame is the only attack spell i have that doesn't have any aoe effects. I'm gonna be using that a lot.

my dad keeps giving me D&D shit because he knows I really like it and because he played AD&D in college and has fond memories. Special Interests make picking birthday presents very easy. :P (I've been using the blue-and-purple so far for this campaign, if you were wondering.)

sorry, what do you mean by "AOE"? I know "Attack of Opportunity" and "Area of Effect," but idk if either of those fit into your sentence?

 

I remember seeing a red and purple set along the same lines, so that's plausible! And that's a nice neat box. I gotta ask, do you take the dice out to roll whatever's relevant in it, or...?

 

I guess I could shake it up, couldn't I? but no, I take them out to roll them. plus there are a fair number of random d6s from, like, a Yahtzee set that I took out for the picture's sake, so it's fuller than it looks. idk, the inside of the box seems too nice to roll pointy dice in? I think it used to be a box for a nice watch or something, my dad sort of hoards that kind of thing. I'm also weird in that I roll damage dice, etc. one at a time, not all together, but I have Dice Standards, dammit.

 

AoE=area of effect, as opposed to single target.

sorry, its the only spell I can use that doesn't impact more than one person with the possibility of friendly fire.

I declare aoe to be its own word :p

 

the only dice i've got are a "steampunk" set i got in my christmas stocking one year. i'm fond of them though!

i don't have a proper dice box/bag, so i've just been using a small cloth bag that used to have something electronic in it, probably. i NEARLY bought one of r-n-w's leather dice bags before realizing it would cost me like $50 once you add shipping. BUT I'M STILL TEMPTED

I mean. it rolled you some pretty damn good stats, so. far be it from me to disdain something so gainful.

 

Negative modifiers are a delight unto the gods of dice. Especially when you've got a -2 and you critfail.

I have Many dice because everyone in my house is a nerd and like once a year we get one of those pound+ bags of dice to split between us. I hoard them, and store them in a bag that once held bed+pillow sheets.

Random.org is a godsend

 

@garden make a Persuasion roll for me real fast, please. Salt's Helping you with expert people-herding, so you've got advantage.

(sorry about all these rolls, guys, but exact numbers of townspeople are kinda important here. if you'd rather I can make these rolls for you/just decide? not sure if you'd rather control it by rolling yourself or let me do it so the game goes faster.)

 

Vitae nods to Salt, though he doesn't know who they are - as long as they fight dragon cultists they're okay by him. He follows along behind them, retreating towards the keep. He can at least try and help the town, there are too many cultists for him to take on alone.
