Ok so, the system I know from another forum which worked fairly well is that each RP had a planning/plotting thread, a profile thread and a thread for the actual RP.

So, I heard ideas for a Dark Materials RP and a IRL RP.
    Thoughts?

    Dark Materials one sounds awesome.
Maybe a homestuck-y one, since pretty much everyone is in that fandom?

Tagging them with the type of thread it is at the beginning is probably also a good plan. Though our group's small enough that I'm not sure we all need indvidiual OOC threads at this point?

A thread for ideas/offers/wants-to-dos would be good, though.

I'm not much for canon hs rp (I dabble in playing the Dolorosa but that's about it) but I've got like. More fantrolls than I care to count.

the his dark materials sounds fun.
though a fair warning, my knowledge of the verse itself only comes from the first book (i'm going to pick it up again eventually, struggling through st augustin in french atm) and i'm more interested in rping stuff + daemons.

i'm also interested in rps that are in epistolary form (though not necessarily letters, it could be like, sticky notes shoved in the bottom of someone's shoe or stuck on their laptop in universe) or universes in harry potter style worlds.
    or magic realism.

i'm only on act five of homestuck, so i don't know most of the beforus trolls or the post-scratch kids.

@Starcrossedsky In my experience those OOC threads get huge pretty fast, and trying to keep up with the group one is in through the OOC stuff of the other would be a right pita. But yes, taggin is a very good idea.

    Also hmm, fantroll/kid RP?
Also, thoughts on sandbox vs plot driven RPs?

Also Letter/Note Rp sounds like a lot fun.

I've had that experience, but it also tends to be because that OOC thread is the only place where those people interact, and so any conversations get dumped there. That's not the case in this case, I think.

Fantrolls/Fankids. Yes, good. Maybe my poor neglected fantrolls will finally have a purpose.

  12. bramblepatch

    we could

I'm not sure how many of the others who were previously involved we could drag over here but actually you know what I'd be up for the Chynos and Mityrs bullshit extravaganza even without anyone else in the group

And hey their interactions with Other Fantrolls who Aren't Descendants would be a thing, maybe, depending on things.

but yes I miss their shenanigans

    cool!
i think that would be more sandboxy
i'd like magical realism. mostly because magic makes everything better.

I think plotting who knows how many different RPs in one thread is gonna cause confusion though. Or not confusion but..anoyance having to plot interactions in one universe around others plotting interactions one doesn´t know or care much about.

    Yeah totally.

Heck, depending on interest it might be best to have several homestuck/fantroll threads going? For like, different time periods/settings/aus/whathaveyou. My main hesitancy about throwing Chynos at other fantrolls has always been that he kind of... requires a different time period than most fantrolls are going to be assumed to have.

i'd be up for some permutation of a fantroll rp! i've done some rping with my main fantroll in a canonverse pre-ascension setting (some friends and i made fantroll tumblrs and had a thread going for a while), but i'd be more interested in some sort of space opera-y setting maybe? or... well, basically, since start to rp this character i've figured out that she eventually becomes a sufferist terrorist, and i'd kinda like some setting that would let me explore that. XP

HDM rp also sounds rad, but personally i'd probably have to hold off until rereading for anything more canon-dependent than "whee daemon shenanigans!"

The "gamma trolls" Nai and I were discussing are descendants of the canon trolls in a future-AU where Feferi took the throne a while back and has made some inroads on reforming the empire, so something like that would definitely be on my list of "AUs I want to play."

I've also kind of been itching to play some of my fantrolls that originated in Miracle Child? The girl who's the main mechanic for the rebellion in particular (I've actually been playing her in DWRP for a few years, but that version of her has turned out fairly different from how she ended up at about the same age in childstuck "canon" just because of where she's been and who she's been with, and I'd like to take the original version for a spin some time). Maybe Lydain, too.

my rp would definitely be just daemon shenanigans.
