And I don't really get the point of piousness and humbleness and self-denial as a career in themselves.

It's approximately as worthwhile a career as egoism, atheism, and self-indulgence. Which pays quite nicely, in my experience.

 

If I admit I get can´t be bothered ta sit still that long most a th´time, I lose all my scoldy medic cred, so ya never heard me say that. -grins, laps- Guess s´time though. Can´t go lookin´like a wreck, gives medbay a bad name.

I know both of them pop into here from time to time. I prefer Whisperwind's designs, but Swiftwing might have more time on his hands-- he doesn't do much, does he? Ought to ask them next time they're in here, at least.

Sometimes, it's simply a matter of what your calling is. I've seen plenty of mechs wreck themselves and die from a little too much fun-- some just don't have the talent for it.

 

Yeah, I guess it is possible to party too hard...

Well, he is quite good at that. And a design doesn't have to be complex or in need of constant touch-ups-- certainly Captain Nichrome's paint is quite nice, and I think it might be sensible for a nurse to look distinctive. Easier for people to know where their medstaff are, yes?

Very evocative. We used to reclaim the mechs that died to syk in Dead End, though it was always a bit of a pain to find anyone who matched your plating. Shaving down the interiors for a better fit was always hard. You couldn't get anything out of the internals by that point, but the exterior plating was usually good enough to peel off and steal.

Sometimes the coldcon factories would pay you a reclamation fee too, which was nice.

I think that they might overlook such a lovely lady as you in the heat of the moment, and a fantastic paintjob will ensure it never happens again.
