@Acey Thank you! It's all a bit surreal. We're having at least 2 engagement parties thrown for us, lol. I'm not complaining: any excuse to break out the cake and prosecco is fine by me ^_^
I learned two of my brothers, both named John (one full sib, one in-law), are having baby girls this fall. I'll have two nieces! Theresa and Aria. I am so so psyched!
speaking of shows saw my favorite, "this music saved my life", "know every song" band last night. it was so breathlessly, heartbreakingly wonderful that I'm still riding the feeling hours and hours later
I've seen my saved-my-life band at least a dozen times, and I want you to know that kind of experience is just as wonderful the twelfth time as it is the first--and it is indeed an INCREDIBLE experience. I'm so glad you had the opportunity to see them and I hope you get to see them again! What was the band, btw?

My early birthday present from family was a chance to feed Amazonian giant otters! Didn't get to pat them because you're not allowed to with animals that are capable of eating people. Still got to feed them fish. Now I smell like fish. Worth it.
So, I'm dating a new boy. Long, long story very short, I, my bf, and the new boy I'm dating are all poly, bf and new boy met each other for the first time tonight, and they hit it off great. New boy is trans and almost completely closeted. He's out with me and bf because we're both lgbt (ace and bi) too and cool with it. He still presents pretty femme, butch femme, but more lady than dude. Idk how many people he's out to, but it isn't a lot. The little smile on his face when I said to my bf, "Will, hand him the laptop so he can read it," is something I'll treasure for the rest of my life.
