i'm sure it's apparent, but dave is lowkey suicidal, in a "nothing matters, why not die! it's not like it'll stick!" way
he is not handling immortality super great, especially because no one knows if karkat and crew are immortal yet (imo they are, if they've gone through the door, since iirc immortality was a reward of beating the game)
karkat is also lowkey suicidal, but that's because he thinks he's worthless and doesn't deserve to live, rather than dave's "eternity staring me in the face is terrifying and i can't cope with the idea that i won't ever be done"
neither of them handle the other one being flippant about death well, it's very "no, i can die, but you have to keep living and fuck you very much for suggesting otherwise"

 

Would a distracting mi be helpful?

it cools the systems down (so works against overheating) and also helps with clearing out impurities from the fuel lines that would likely cause some of the discomfort, as well as providing energy for your systems!

I'm just muting him for the two characters I'm currently running in the rave because one of them was a child assassin (and then an adult one) and the other one deprogrammed her. She gets upset when people talk about how killing is good and fun and wonderful because she's heard enough of that thanks.

Apparently while my brain can't handle pretending things didn't happen in front of my characters in the middle of a conversation they were having, if they foresee that they can't handle character X early enough in the conversation that they don't actually see the character try to do anything horrible, I can get them to pretend said character isn't there.

Which is hilarious because they still hear the rest of the conversation and cheese is fucking delicious.

Note: Despite similar name, Megatronus is not Megatron. In one continuty, he is the god/demigod Megatron was named for otherwise hes just. A demigod/god, better known as the Fallen. He Kinda sorta accidentially killed his girlfriend and started a war, after which he regretted his choices in general and renounced his name (thus, the Fallen) and fucked off to parts unknown.
Also, he bleps.

 

Nah you're cool! Amalgamous has Strong Opinions and a major grudge against "hero" types like several of their siblings (who turned out to be not all that great :P) but they also don't have much a problem with killing itself.

 

Mostly, Megatronus sensed someone was trying to be bigger edgelord than him and had to come defend his throne.

Whoever is Handsome Jack, I love you. I just started playing the presequel with friends and I chose Wilhelm, a friend chose claptrap, another Athena, and then the other chose doppelgänger jack, and we are playing together.

In short, what a time to introduce that character

 

i'm amused by how church, by thinking jack is an irredeemable asshole, became the only one able to actually connect with jack at all :D:D:D

that's an excellent point. :D he didn't start out wanting to, but somewhere along the line, i'm not sure exactly where, jack did something and that changed.

 

i play jack! god im playing through the games myself and (while i might have spoiled myself bc i just love jack so much) am really excited to go through the TPS at some point!!
