Oh man, there was this guy who built really cool mansions for The Sims 3 and made videos about it. I think he was either Canadian or U.S. American, I forget which. In any case, he said "garage" in a way that many people found odd, and it sorta became this whole thing where he'd joke about it a bit when it inevitably came up. It's not as if you can just avoid the word while discussing mansion floor plans.

Of course! The channel was TheCurtisParadisShow. Looks like he is indeed Canadian. I'm not sure how relaxing it is; my best friend found his voice a bit grating, as he tends towards the high-energy announcer style. I didn't have any problems, and I definitely found it informative.

I'm actually kinda shocked to realize I don't have any relaxing Sims building content, as I love the Sims and I also love ASMR. I guess I only really watch Sims building videos for instructional purposes.

Uhh... here is a German lady with an incredibly soothing voice who has done a lot of Sims 4 gameplay challenge videos: OmaTanaASMR. I believe she has both English and German videos, but I kinda prefer the German ones because I think the language is really beautiful and it doesn't matter that I can't understand it if I'm gonna be asleep 5 minutes in. It's also often pretty self-explanatory since I know the basic game. I don't think she does any house building, though I guess it's possible I just slept through it.

As far as very involved building tutorials go, it's not the Sims but there's Etho, the guy who pretty much taught me to play Minecraft. I think he's also Canadian, and while he is not attempting to do ASMR, he tends to sound more relaxed than a lot of people who make gaming videos. I seem to remember that he was turned down for membership in some group of professional Let's Players at one point in part for not sounding excited enough, which I guess was their thing. His thing was performing really intricate experiments with game mechanics so he could figure out how to automate all kinds of stuff, from long-distance transportation to loot collection. I seriously watched dozens and dozens of his videos before I even bought the game. Then I immediately made a working mob grinder and astonished my friends. That was fun.

Again with the Minecraft with more of an aesthetic approach, there is The French Whisperer's soft spoken English-language tour of his absolutely astounding Minecraft city. He talks about the historical attributes and real-world inspirations of the various buildings in this city he created with his brother. I know fuck all about architecture so I can't verify, but he sure seems to know a lot. Also it's stunningly gorgeous and really detailed. He even made a giant T-Rex skeleton for his natural history museum.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

I really don't like life. I miss when I was in elementary school and days off meant I could relax, and family vacations didn't mean everyone was arguing and shouting in the car, and I didn't have to be an adult and be mom's confidant and play middleman during all the family arguments and keep secrets from people and question my gender and hate myself.

 

I feel that so much.

 

You're like. Two-thirds my age. You're not even an adult yet.

Savor this. And be yourself. Accept no compromises on that.
