Used to be naughtier but complexes and war taught him to be more quiet and less 'get drunk and fall asleep in someone else's crystal garden display'

 

In my brain, they have a similar bubbly-sweet quality. :D She can be very quiet because of her childhood training, but she has been encouraged to make noise of all kinds since she took up with Reverse Ford. Part of that whole "life is good, existing is good, please take up space, eat this, drink this, feel this, be happy" thing.

 

Awwwwwww. =3 Yeah, Pillage is relearning a bit of that. Mostly via keeping Beacon under his thumb sexually. xP

quick question! i've never done a bubble rp/convo before and just wanted to know if like, there's any specifics i need to know? i've never even seen anyone else do it before haha

 

Idk if ya'll have ever seen a dog do it but Fen does it pretty frequently: They pick things up and literally PITCH them with their mouths. It's the funniest thing to watch, so long as the object isn't being pitched towards you.

You're just inside of the bubble which means that nobody can bother you unless you let them and nobody can see what you're doing. You still fade to black if you head from PG13 to NC17 territory, but you can have a private conversation.

 

bubble rp/convos in the spr are basically like: the characters in the bubble can only see and/or hear each other, and the characters outside the bubble can't see and/or hear them. and the characters can leave the bubble whenever they feel like it - the rules of the rave mean that no one that actually keep anyone trapped anywhere they don't want to be. and sex in a bubble has to be fade-to-black, the same way it works in the rest of the rave.

 

Does that make Beaocn the class rep who looks so painfully conservative you kind of think he'd die if he ever saw an alcohol?
(Not that he's actually conservative, straight-laced-from-birth and conservative parents are just ime very easy to mistake for eachother at a glance)

 

It's been so long since I had a dog I forgot about that! I've been living in the same rent-controlled apartment in SF longer than some of my friends have been alive, though I grew up with German shepherds, huskies and the like, and I knew wolfdogs.

Rev Ford is the "cool" nerd who is still at that stage in life where he doesn't actually have to study for anything school-related yet, although he puts in a lot of work on his projects, and he probably wears an inverted pentagram and has piercings and parties a lot. He will kick your teeth in if you say his girlfriend's a slut in anything but the most approving and adoring tone of voice.

Ford Classic would be almost as debauched if he weren't madly in love with and devoted to the chemistry nerd from the wrong side of the tracks (Lissa's older sister lol) whom he dutifully walks home every day even though he secretly knows she can beat more ass than he does, and they may or may not have met the soon-to-be-premed-more-ambitious-than-anyone boy with the vicious rich parents yet. But he sees no reason to broadcast the fact that he's out to make trouble and doesn't act like he parties.

 

if we're comparing them to student sterotypes dave and karkat are absolutely the nerds who are straight-edge purely because they're too nerdy to even remotely have access to booze or pot, rather than any particular moral fiber

they think they're being edgy and rebellious by passing notes in study hall. it's sad.
