[nsfw] Iyaan, Karkat-kun: Let's Homestuck some Hentai

I just read through all this and this is so amusing.

I was even inspired to download the game and see if I can try something like this myself, but even after following tall the instructions in the first post, I'm still having some issues, namely:

Spoiler: the issues

1. It's not translated! I have no way to know what the UI buttons do aside from trial and error.
2. Some of the buttons (I don't know which ones since they're not translated) are simply crashing the game.
3. The character creator, which is translated, fortunately, only allows two traits. I know it was said that's the default, but how do I get around that default?

Can anyone help me here?

 

You ran the patch included in the torrent?

 

I only did two things deviating from the instructions: I didn't make the folder "C:\illusion" and the dotNetFx35setup wasn't doing anything so I downloaded the latest .Net framework straight from Microsoft instead.

 

You definitely need to have an "illusion" folder in your C drive for any of it to work, unfortunately.

 

Well, that sucks. Nonetheless, I moved it and re-ran the two patches where I entered the path, putting in the new path instead, but it didn't solve anything; I'm still getting the same issues.

 

It could be that you need to start the process over from scratch for some reason, or it's possible the new framework you downloaded is somehow conflicting? Other than that, I'm afraid I don't know what to tell you other than to be sure that when you're going through the patch, you have the right boxes ticked off. By following the instructions and downloading that specific torrent exactly, it should work... it's worked for me and another person I helped install it. D:

did you try reinstalling it first? whenever my first install isnt working in spite of my having done the things i thought were correct i always have to start with a fresh install because i inevitably broke something somewhere.
