Legal information transfers, huh? That sounds like there's some illegal information transfers they don't control.

 

I'd be so lost if I watched an episode without context, how do I know who is currently in a coma and who has gone for an exchange semester in Argentinia only to be tragically lost when the plane crashes? And who has amnesia? I'd be too distracted to focus on making the toys.

Or safe, given how much I was worth as a hostage, so naturally I said my shunts had malfunctioned and everyone bought it, because I was a support class and a good little girl."

I have no idea who you think you are but you aren't as much hot shit as you seem to think. And this is a lot more dangerous than you apparently realize. You're going to never mention this name to anyone again or I will find a way to make you regret it if someone else isn't quicker. And I'm a lot nicer than most others. This knowledge is dangerous and if anyone finds out you have it... There's a lot of people out there who would kill for that and make you glad the death was quick at least.

Alex blinks. "Okay," she says. "I'm sorry." She sighs. Do people really not know these things? "But you should probably know that there are plenty of worlds where pretty much everyone knows. There's like, at least eight movies and two TV shows in mine, and in some of them it seems like you're not very good at keeping these secrets. I'm pretty sure that if you asked five random people on the street in any English speaking town on my planet, at least two or three people would know these things."

She stares at her feet. "On the other hand, we probably know a lot of stuff about the bad guys, too. At least the really big ones like the Joker."
