Sorry, I mean it's bullshit because it's inherently impossible, and when people have to compromise on that ideal if they start with it they probably just tend to side with the people who look the most like them, rather than starting from a position of 'things are not going to be 100% ideal but let's try to make everyone as okay as possible anyway'.

Well, not me personally, but people don't make walking, talking, reproducing weapons of mass destruction for nice reasons.

 

Sure. I mean it'd be nice if it was possible. But what I'm talking about is someone infecting an entire town with a virus like debilitating drug addiction out of love for chaos, control and money. Because he figures if everyone's addicted to something only he is selling then he will be able to just demand every price he wants while the streets are filled with rioting addicts attacking the police and everyone in sight to the rage induced by withdrawal.
Or someone who terrorizes the city for no reason other than deranged codependency on the one man to ever defy him. Or a man who kills everyone related to anyone ever incarcerated in arkham asylum for no reason other than believing he has to clean up the bloodlines of Gotham and prune the diseased elements. None of these people ever did anything and yet he killed every last one of them because of something their relatives did.

 

Oh, well, that's basically just cartoonishly evil, sure.

I do also clean up after organized crime when they make it my job, but yeah my main job is catching the guys normal police can't really deal with. They're still delivered to a court of justice. I don't particularly start passing judgement on people unless they actively and purposefully terrorize others.
