Some universes are frogs instead of cogs. Not my jurisdiction, even if they are pretty little things. This one's just wire, though, nothing special about it besides that I'm failing rather spectacularly.

And... I don't know, compared to the last time we spoke? Admittedly it would be hard to be doing worse, but... ah.

Stan groans. "Yeah, he doesn't know how to romance."

Angeth gives him a dirty look. "Compared to who, exactly?"

If I've something to do with my hands I make fewer stupid decisions, and this pattern looked cute. Forget where I nabbed it from. Organic planet, presumably, but... anyway, no, no rotation. So far I've seen you, myself obviously, Amalgamous, Onxai, Tess, and... oh, Alchemist's been in a few times too. Full half, would you believe? Not all at once, that might get... tense, but.

 

"I wanted him for me," says Lissa. "I couldn't remember the last time I'd ever wanted something for me. They got their money back." She smiles very sweetly. "Not that they were gonna be able to spend it out where I sent 'em."

 

"You never told me that part."

 

"Holy fuck, Stanford, why did you think the whole family was after us?" Angeth snorts. "Not only did she not do her job, she killed her clients. If you'd both just fucked the hell off they wouldn't have known that you turned her!"

 

Lots of people don't communicate. Soaps are like an object lesson on why to talk about your feelings or not care about anyone. It's contrived, ridiculous bullshit - why I like it.

 

"And now I know who looked out for him when I couldn't get to him." Stan groans. "You and me, we need to get drunk together sometime. Preferably when she's in heat, so we know where the two of them are at all times."

 

Take the money and run, that's my motto. Killing 'em is easy, sure, but pinning it on someone else is healthier in the long run.

 

Lissa nods. "You weren't around to advise me then, though, and I...I got mad."

 

Advising, I like that. Gonna slap that on a business card, be one of those-- what are they-- one of those expert testimonials.

There are some good dramas to watch out there. Just none come to my mind right now. But I agree with you in them not making sense. The plots just get jumbled and you can't make sense of them.
