what exactly are cabals anyway

 

It's SWL's word for guilds. There's not a lot of in game benefits in SWL aside from cabal bank (which you can only withdraw from if you're a patron) but they can be good for getting groups for stuff and some of them are basically RP groups/organizations

 

Also if anyone didn't know there's now a very helpful weekly post on the Reddit summarizing patches, hotfixes, known issues, upcoming changes, frequently asked questions and what the hap is fuckening

Just went in and (sorta) remade my Dragon! Almost entirely happy with the end result, and my old wardrobe ported over just fine.

I'm not sure what I wanted out of Legends, or what I expected, but it was Not Exactly This. It feels just as awkward as the original, but in different ways? I've got a mountain of nits to pick but that doesn't really accomplish anything. Only a couple of major gripes so far - the new intro tutorial thing doesn't feel nearly as rad or interesting as the old intro cinematic, and while I appreciate the sudden 'Kill X things' sidequests I'm very much not a fan of the robotic voice telling me when I rank up and such. What happened to the incomprehensible mysterious phone calls? I liked those.

Got a Flappy kill in tho.

I'm guessing these anima shards are the new credits and Marks of Favour are the new Black Bullion?

You should get a text icon in the lower right corner on rank ups. If you click that, you'll still get your incomprehensible phone call.

Not exactly. Anima shards are mostly used for empowerments and the death penalty and museum while MoF is the player currency and some upgrade stuff and some outfits and pretty much anything involving a vendor. It doesn't really match up to the old currencies well since you ultimately need both for gear

Surprisingly you'll start running out of shards first once your gear hits blues/purples.
