Too dramatic for a fandom thread, no one wants to sperg about the mass harassment of authors. (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.)
FID: "A good place to post stuff like links to other sites where something happened you want to chat about." Seems like the right place for it to me.
I mean, if we put everything to do with fandom in this subforum, we'd have at least half of FID in here and then no one could find the "discuss Thing you like" threads
Also, I was under the impression that like...this round of witch hunt was mostly being passed around by critics and the creators themselves, who are generally understood to not be part of fandom. Like the article specifically notes that a lot of the actual target demographic have no truck with it. So
and what we have here folks is a prime example of dog piling on whoever is the current socially acceptable target
what, this thread, or the original quote-unquote discourse featured in the article? (it's kinda funny that discourse has become the name for this sort of thing because that implies the target is allowed to say their piece)
we just don't think this thread fits in this particular subforum, particularly with its negative, insulting title and how it was made by rigs, who (as far as i know, anyway) isn't actually in fandom
...Yes, how harsh, saying you posted in the wrong forum. I'm sure Rigs, the mod, will never forget this as long as he lives. Like it may be dogpiling to have multiple people think the same thing and say so, but goddamn did you pick an innocuous example. I've seen much worse on Kintsugi.
considering the only remotely consistent definition of dogpiling ive seen is 'at least two people tell someone theyre wrong about something and that someone is upset about it', @rigorist, are you upset about this?
