I had this really dark blue lipstick when I was in high school. I never ever wore it to school, but I wore it to my grandparents' party once, and my aunt totally hated it XD

That was almost ten years ago already though. I never much wear make-up now. Though apparently I was a trendsetter :P Seeing as how all these pretty lipstick colours are all the rage now :P

These days I don't really think I have the lips for it, though I have been thinking about going to a make-up store and getting some advice...

Aah look at these shoes. My idiot magpie hindbrain is going SHINY SHINY and my idiot normal brain is going 'these are way too high, impossibly impractical, and tackily ostentatious. I MUST HAVE THEM'. Oh my god. Someone talk me down please.

I love ridiculous shoes send help.

my family just kinda accepted that I am a weirdo when I started doing black lipstick to every fancy event ever adn has since only just kinda bewilderedly shrugged.
Once my mom gives me access to her paypal I am gonna order a bunch of cheap lipsticks and reviewing them and a bunch of fun colors are in there, including four shades of blue and a green, a grey and a lilac as well as a yellow.
    Also six colorful liquid-plus-pencil-eyeliner combos.
@hellfirelover can you walk in heels? if not are you willing to learn it? if the answer to either of those questions is yes I cannot argue you out because my own brain is currently going shiny except for the peep-toe thing.
I personally dislike peep toes because I don't liek my toes too much. I am weird though.

I can indeed walk (even run, at a push) in skyscraper heels.
I'm too weak. I can resist everything except (shoe) temptation.

Discovered on my own it is in fact possible to wash off waterproof makeup! I just have to wash my face three times. (Apricot scrub, eye makeup remover cloth, normal face-stuff we have.) I'm probably going to have to get my own instead of the communal face-stuff. It smells nice and WORKS but I've got super sensitive skin and it burns. Doesn't leave any pink marks like some stuff but the BURNING. I dunno what the name of it is but it's kind of a cream instead of the soaps/scrubs I'm used to and it's got moisturizer in it so I don't need yet aNOTHER product. My face feels so nice -rubrubrub- but the burning.

Those shoes are amazing but I'd die. I haven't worn heels in 5 years and can barely walk in flats some days. But goddamn are they lovely.

I have a sad; the ColourPop lipstick I wore stayed longer before I went out but like all others it was vanquished by my coffee straw even after I used primer and was SURE it was dry. :( Is there something I'm missing I can do to protect it? At least it didn't come off all at once in a colored ring around the straw.

I am impressed with my eye makeup. I didn't have time to wash it off and redo everything else so I wore my huge sunglasses (it was bright out anyway so I needed them to prevent migraines. Even if I didn't mangle my shadow no-one'd of seen it anyway.) to cover my "picked a fight with Liu Kang" look. Two hours complete with literally-running-down-my-face sweat and it was still there when I got home

    Buy makeup remover wipes.
The only thing you can really do for lipstick is be ready to reapply.

Yeah, we have those but they don't work nicely against the waterproof mascara i get. It wears off the top 'layer' and smears it around but even fierce scrubbing won't make it come completely off. It usually takes 2-3 days, washing my face twice a day with remover wipes before the last of it is gone. Most makeup I have trouble getting it to stay on. My mascara I have trouble getting it to come off. Oddly, I can't remember the brand or specific product name which only adds to the lovecraftian feeling because it's horrorterror black and smells like abandoned hopes and won't let me go.

Congrats, you accidently picked up horrorterror blood mascara or something. You're probably slowly being mutated by it.

My dad, ever the optimist, says it's Sarlacc bile, which also explains the smell.

    That could be it.
Have you ever read John Dies at the End? Cause if so, I have another option for what it could be! (If not, you need to read that book.)

eye-makeup remover, two-phase or labeled as being able to remove waterproof is your friend for most horror-terror mascara. Put it on a cotton pad, put cotton pad on closed eye, leave there for a few seconds to start loosening the product, wipe delicately.
I can vouch for Avene thermal water products up and down they are perfect for delicate and sensitive skin, but its kinda expensive sometimes and idk if its available outside of europe (and at least here in germany it's usually sold in pharmacies haha)
eta: a running theme for me is that I am willing to pay stupid much for makeup and skin care because I am vain and have difficult skin.

got around to taking pics of my collection

this is the base stuff, all store brand. general skin lotion, peeling, face water, face cream, as well as eye makeup remover and general makeup remover.
    m1.JPG

foundation stuff. mostly store brand, except for the stargazer, which is an overpriced goth brand. white foundation, black and white facepaint for cosplay, a cover stick, the lightest foundations of the drug store's store brands. the essence one is new and lighter than the p2 one, which i mix 1:1 with the white foundation. the darker mousse was an attempt for contouring.
a makeup-egg which i kinda dont use (lol), white setting powder, a good powder brush, and my old, retired powder pad.
    m2.JPG

eyeshadow! lotsa blues. most of them glitter. i can make glittering bruises, my whole colour scheme is bruise coloured. the quattro is also for contouring.
also a tinier makeup brush as well as a watercolour brush for the carnival/cosplay/facepaint makeup pods m3.JPG

mascara and eyeliner (.... yes yes, the red one is actually lipliner but no one cares about that)
the first mascara from the left is blue and has served me well, but is almost empty, the next two ones are vibrantly coloured, and the fourth one i wanted for standard black but is clumpy. ::<
everything is storebrand except for the third eyeliner from the right, which is an old blue one from my grandma.
    m4.JPG

lipstuff. dont have much, 2 balms, one gloss which is like 8 years old, two black, one dark red, and one fuschia. m5.JPG

nailpolish. clear, fluorescent, black of various ages, lotsa green, some blue, some purple, one red. m6.JPG

bonus makeup chest. no, i cant fit everything into it, sadly. ::/ m7.JPG
