it took me a *while* to figure out how I wanted to respond (and I got busy but o h well)

ultimately, Haku's goal is to not actually start crying because that's one of the Ninja Rules, like for real. (whether the rule wants you to not *have* emotions or just don't have them where anyone can see is a matter of interpretation)

he also really doesn't have the energy to be sustainedly miserable for a long time. depressive spirals take it out of you lmao.

also "people do arbitrary things for arbitrary reasons" fits his worldview a lot easier than "someone might genuinely care about you, want you around, and want the best for you," but for what it's worth, he wasn't ignoring Lissa. when he's in an okay headspace he's really quite proud of his bloodline ability, and the idea that it's something worth continuing despite people wanting to stamp it out is going to stay with him.

also having him keep arguing and making himself more upset would start to get boring for me to write

It's all good :D Lissa's not worried about her own feelings with respect to Haku. Marcus is an adult and someone she's got an adult friendship with, he can tell her the hard stuff and she can tell him the hard stuff. She's not like that with kids. Some kids may very well resent the fact that she thinks of herself as your mother unless she knows you actually have one, but at least one failing she doesn't normally have (except when she was stuck in the portal out of her mind talking to Clover) is leaning on kids.

 

Vector's references to the Sigma cluster are to the Shattered Glass comics, TF's classic Mirrorverse where bad guys are good and good guys are bad. Notably, grumpy spy-cassette Ravage is an attention-hogging lolcat specifically designed to look like Nyancat. And also Optimus is a sadist bent on conquering Earth while Megatron is basically running and hiding for his life but shhh

There is no canon SG!Vector, but most Vector Primes tend to Chaotic Good so he'd probably be Lawful Evil in service to @Unicron instead of Primus :P

Jordi might be a Space player but in the Rave he technically has knowledge (and occasionally exists across) time in the various Alternate Universes he's a cornerstone of. It never carries out of the rave, but it does mean he's occasionally offsync with other people from whatever universe he's currently pinging from.
