I mean, it does, but it's not like they're born or anything yet. I wonder if he's doing the anxiety thing while also being all 'I'm Jordi Chin, I don't have anxiety' like he does sometimes.

 

Lissa shrugs. "He smelled an awful lot like milk, especially for Jordi."

 

Maybe uh... Future?? I don't know. *Shrugs*

 

Meanwhile an odd looking six limbed monster has slid his way into the Rave. The spines down his back and tail are reflecting the color of uncut red rubies and he very clearly lacks eyes. His mouth slowly opens, lips lifting a bit as the red-pink spots along his back and shoulders open up wider as the 'stripes' along the side of his neck open a bit as well.

Where the hell was he? The Lost Cryptid, staring Stone.

 

"Maybe." Lissa frowns. "Feeding them all is actually going to be difficult. You don't have enough nipples, even if you had enough arms. And enough milk. And afterwards you have to wipe them, though if they're more human than not, they might just use diapers." She makes a face. "I'm not sure that's preferable?"

 

Ford watches the strange being, half-listening to his wife's conversation with Marcus. What is that? Or rather, who is that, and where are they from?

 

Uhhh I mean, sounds preferable to me. Not like my nipples really work anymore, got all'a the stuff cut out when I was younger. I was personally thinking about buying two of those things where it straps bottles to your chest. Each of us feeding two of them.

 

He stops, tips his head from side to side. Okay, there were people in here. He sits, "Little loud in here for me to see you all that well." His voice is rough but also the voice of someone who might have learned how to talk by mimicking.

 

"That sounds workable," Lissa says, and nods. "Bottles it is then. I don't know about the diapers thing, once you get kits used to going right after you feed them, you know when they're going to go so you can have the potty there. But, whatever. Kits don't go on their own when they're first born, you gotta give 'em a wipe to remind 'em."

 

Huh... I mean, gotta say I'm pretty excited. I know it's not always great but... I wonder if Jordi's gonna do his thing and just try to take over most of the baby-care.

 

Ford startles. He hadn't expected that the other being would necessarily speak, though if he thinks about it, he's not surprised at all that he heard it in English, given the dreamspace's properties. "I'm only hearing one other conversation right now, but perhaps you can hear things I can't."

 

"That ... doesn't seem like it would be easy to do when he's working." Lissa shrugs. "You're going to have to share the duties anyway with four, unless you hire someone. Litters are one of the reasons we live in extended family groups on our homeworlds. And why living with Stan and Carla just always felt right to me."

 

"Perhaps, probably. This space is loud, I can't explain it. Can't see the walls." Stone let out a little huff and focused all of his attention onto Ford. "I am Stone."

 

He already told me he was going to take a uh... Vacation? I guess? So I think that's what he's going to do on his vacation... babies. *pauses* Oh man I actually can't wait to see him with them? I just-- Him asleep with a baby on his chest? Oh my god.

 

"You may call me Ford," Ford says. "This is a dream-realm, or so I believe. Do you see with sound, then?"

 

Lissa giggles. "I want pictures."

 

"Yes, I do. I suppose this means I am asleep and I shouldn't worry that another human is going to ruin my cave?" He clicked his teeth with interest.

 

Oh trust me, I will get you so many pictures.

 

"I don't know what the odds of another human ruining your cave are, because I don't know where you live. Though, sadly, we are very good at ruining other people's homes. But you are probably asleep, and I would not ruin your cave." Ford sighs. His species has a lot to answer for.

 

Lissa pulls out a brightly coloured scrapbook. "This is Ford with a kit on his chest. That's Jezebel. She hadn't even opened her eyes yet. The bored teenagers are Tate and Lilah, her older half-siblings."
