Right now it's relatively warm and there's no water anywhere! Tomorrow it will probably be ungodly hot with no water. California weather is exciting, isn't it?!
i am disgusted. people keep asking me why i moved out of california and im like SO GEE ABOUT THAT DROUGHT AND SUBSEQUENT FARMER JOB LOSS/ECONOMY CRASH. whoever wants to live in california has never actually been to california for more than its gimmicky tourist traps
Seriously, I wanna get out of here so bad. It's fucking IMPOSSIBLE to find work and everything is expensive. :(
I actually love it here and never want to move out of state and I honestly can't think of one good reason why I mean, other than it's awesome. and tubular. gnarly bra
every time i get the "why did you come to MICHIGAN of all places" i just sit here like "bro my rent is fucking 450 a month where in cali it'd be 1k minimum for a decent place in a good neighborhood that's only 1b. theres no jobs what the fuck do u think." i will admit every time soda gets called "pop" i just kind of squint. why pop. who are you. leave. go. shoo. BEGONE, FOUL BEAST
are you saying that the person who wants to stay in california has less right to post in the california weather thread than the people who want to/have abandon(ed) it?
And see, I LOVED living in San Francisco...but it also happens to be the single most expensive city in the US. So I'll probably never get to live there again, so like...what's the point even.
YOU'RE HARSHING MY VIBE BRO Yeah, San Francisco is probably my favourite place in the world, but hoo boy. That isn't even a dream, it's so unrealistic.
i think thats the problem with california atm (and getting comments of Y U LEAVE???). its so PRETTY. but then theres the technical stuff and the expensiveness of it and (screaming continues). I lived all the way up near Mt. Shasta and towards the Redwoods, in the valley. It wasn't "pretty" pretty, like california coast, but it was something in and of itself to be admired. I didn't surf, I snowboarded. Biking was fun, too. Of course, the further out of the valley you went the more you got to see the forests and ocean views and whatever. Michigan doesn't have hills and I am Sad.
I am glad that it is going to be slightly cooler this weekend during Sacanime because I, in my infinite wisdom, have decided to do a cosplay that is furlined and leaves only my arms uncovered- and we still might decide to do gloves.
Yeah. And it's at least been cooling off at night, lately. I might be jinxing things but I hope we're done with the worst of it now that we're out of August.
It's actually a super nice night out, tonight, but honestly I can't wait 'til winter comes and I can bundle up under my sheets. In other news I'm delighted that this summer's weather around my house wasn't "smoke from the fires on the mountain" and "an ominous red-orange glow on the horizon in the afternoon". Instead it's been "actually cool enough for me to use two blankets instead of just one" and "not nearly that much fire and brimstone". #but seriously fuck this place when its humid im from new jersey and i want to cry #weak
I miss Vermont. I miss snow. I miss breathing soup during summer and getting sticky as soon as you step out of the shower. T_T
I sure do! I'm that guy who starts a sermon every time someone I know tries to buy something made by them
I rather like living in California. Yes the weather and the economy are shit but this is my home. My family is here, my temple is here. I do want to see other places in the world but home is here. It's in San Clemente and Costa Mesa and the endless hell that we call Moreno Valley and the confusing world of Adelanto where it snows and tumble weeds roll about. That and LA is alive. As in like I believe that the city is literally a sentient living being and one I am fond of even if it is shit. I WILL DEFEND YOU CALIFORNIA. I ALWAYS WILL. You might be a shitty hell hole but you're MY shitty hell hole. The humidity will be the death of me though.
