Oh, yeah, my rogue is gonna love this. I think I'll make him a dwarf - the aristocratic flavor gives me interesting ideas. Then we can have a little disreputable trading post that happens to be on a good route to the lost temple.

In bad news, I don't have any 5e sourcebooks, except for the open source site, which is missing several key mechanics. So I'd need help with chargen, probably.

I can provide a completely legal copy for anyone that needs it. Don't think I can attach files that big on ks? Ummmm hm maybe I'll make a discord to give out?
(I promise my group also has it in book form)

Alright! Finally read through everything, very excited. Am thinking either a halfling monk or a hobgoblin wizard. Even with the wizard, aiming to have someone that can be a frontline combatant as well as a few more esoteric abilities to help out in other circumstances. Leaning towards said wizard at the moment, because of location, but if we end up having a bunch of casters might go for one of the weirder monk types.

How did you want us to do stats? Standard point buy, rolling, a particular array? I ask because after the basic concept I like to work out more about the character through actually building them.

Thanks for the information! On reflection, and given what other people are building, I think I'm going to go with the lizardfolk barbarian.

One more question--I'd been looking at the Unearthed Arcana barbarian classes, and what you mentioned about the importance of family to them seemed like it would vibe thematically with the Ancestor Guardian path. (I know that's getting a little ahead of myself, but it involves elaborate tattoos so if I chose it I might as well start with them.) Would you be all right with that subclass, or would you rather I stick with the PHB options?

Sorry for ghosting, was away from house all weekend
I am gonna roll two statlines for you, and you can choose whichever group of numbers you want. For convinence, I'll do this for each character when yall give me a race, class, and name.

    That subclass would be fine!

Also wrt names, here's a Thing I probably should add to the first post- the language inspos/generators I've been using for each country- specifically this generator

    Idean- Mongolian and Asian Steppes
Alil- Germanic for Dwarves, English/Saxon for Halflings
    Tomael- Latin and French
    Tashe- Slavic
    Ilidoe- Egyptian
    Drou- Celtic
    Namala- Hindi
    Razol- Arabic
Lizardfolk- Translate their names into the applicable language because why wouldn't you want everyone to understand your badass name, you earned it! But also Greek
    Scoar- Norse
I haven't figured out language inspos for the rest yet if yall have any suggestions

In each case, that is less of a choice, and more of a "look upon what you have escaped, and be grateful."

    Thank you, luna!

Yeah, I'm definitely taking option 2, as interesting as I think that 4 and 6 could be from a role playing standpoint I couldn't possibly do that to poor Maram xD

Also throwing my hat in for stat generation--

    Vojta, the Snow Elf Cleric

I'm still stuck between Rubion and Peridion, but I think I might make a choice once I've got some stats to riff off of?
