Yeah, I'm thinking that Strength is probably going to be my dump, which swings me over to the Peridion side of things. So hey, it all works out! :D

Alright so what I wanna do is have a way that we can have an easily updatable character sheet that can be shared between me and each player. I believe mythweavers allows you to show your sheet to someone else, but I don't know if that other person can edit it (ie, if someone asks a question on their character sheet), and it requires signing up (though no money). We could just use google docs, but that would mean everyone giving me their email. Or we could just use the message system or something else for communication. Ideas?

Hmm. I lean towards either the message system on here or gdocs, though I'd prefer the kintsugi messaging system.

I think I'm gonna actually use that second statline and make Cha my dump stat, since it lets me use the lizardfolk racial bonus to jack up Wis for that Survival skill... are we using backgrounds? Because I'm planning to go Outlander if so.

I agree! I'm going ahead and doing a paper sheet because it's easiest for me to organize that way, but I can easily type it up in either format. Gdocs does allow for real-time updating....

Hmm, Gdocs does sound pretty useful (real-time updating, adding notes and all that) and technically if someone isn't comfortable using their primary email address they could just create a new one maybe?

Google is wierd about that- it only lets you use your primary for googledocs, im pretty sure. I could just make a sheet for each of you and send a link so you cabbuse it anonymously, but you'd need some way to keep it handy

A couple of purely backstory-related setting questions...
    1. Do lizardfolk have names before they acquire the one associated with their "notable deeds or actions"? Like, childhood descriptives? Or are they just "whoever's nth child" or similar until then?
    2. Also name-related: do the six tribes have names, or would they consider that superfluous?
    3. I'm assuming as reptiles that they lay eggs, but how large would a clutch be? I was going to say Hiophis had two clutch-mates but wanted to know if that was unusually small or large.

    1. Yeah, usually they'll be called by some notable baby quality. There are a lot of lil lizardborn running around called Giant Eyes or Funky Scales.
    2. Oh hey that is an important piece of fluff isn't it
The groups (unsure if they are, anthropologically speaking, tribes per say) are named after how their progenitors survived the explosion. Unbowed, the easternmost tribe, apearently stood strong against the mudflow, and were not destroyed. According to them their home, Riverpass, has been occupied for over 6000 years, and was barely touched by the eruption. Scholars from other groups doubt this but nobody'll let thrm come close enough to Riverpass to study the claims. Burrow hid beneath the mud and only came out when a sparrow flew down into the hole. Reeds, at the southwest tip, made filters from wet reeds, and used that to continue to breath as the swamp dried up. Cavern hid out in a seaside cave until the rumblings stopped. Branches hid among the branches of the trees, the canopy protecting them from ashfall. Sea took a boat out to an island until shit calmed down.
    3. Three is a pretty reasonable number! A bit on the small size, maybe- lizardborn tend to have large clutches, around 40 eggs. Of those 40 maybe 17-25 will hatch properly, and of those around 10 on average make it to year 1, and 2-7 will survive into adolescence. The lizardborn tend not to put a lot of effort into hatchlings until they reach two years old and have proven themselves survivors. Nobody wants to talk about the widespread cultural effects on mental health.

I... think I'll go with the first one. Two 18s from the get-go, once stat adjustments are included, would be nuts to pass up. I feel like I had a lot more luck than most, here...

EDIT: Given the different setting, and the general position of Hobgoblins as intelligent warriors, would you be willing to let Israf go for the Bladesinger specialization, from the SCAG? If not, no worries, have other ideas, but wanted to check.

Yeah that'd be fine! Here's the fluff- its all extemporaneous, so tell me if you don't like it.
It is said that in the days of old, goblins feared magic, and found those who used it weak in body and will. That is not the case anymore. The leader of any particular goblin stronghold is, after all, the one who defeated the last leader in one on one combat- and the strange powers of the mage can, at a certain point, vaporize even the most trained warrior. So now most Goblin Chieftans are wizards, or sorcerers, and they have set up a school in Scoar that takes in young children with even the slightest hint of interest in or talent with magic, and trains them strenuously. The most prestigious discipline they teach is Bladesinging- a fusion of the magical present and martial past, the Bladesingers are chosen before they are five years old and molded into a perfect, loyal warrior, in tune with steel and song.

For reference, most Goblin chieftains are level 7 characters. Here's a few spells wizards gain access to at 7th level.
    -Banishment
    - Evard's Black Tentacles
    -Blight
    -Phantasmal Killer
    -Polymorph

Add in the fact that its not to the death but to the yield (thoooo old chieftains usually mysteriously die soon after anyways) and yeah.

What's up with languages? Does each country you described have its own language? Is there a Common? Does each continent have a different Common?

Each Continent has a different Common, yep! In Ralune Common basically started as a trade language that became the predominant language of Tomael and, therefore, the rest of the majority human countries. The only place that the original human tongue is still spoken is Ilidoe, and the Tomalen government is trying to stamp it out. The common language in Asloya is basically a modified form of Draconic. This is also the common that undercommon is based off of. Other then that yeah, they basically all have their own languages (or multiple, in the case of, say, Tashe or Alil)

Is it okay if I trade my starting equipment around a bit, based on its list price? Or would you rather I use starting gold you roll if I want to pick my own gear?
