playing deathmatch makes it abundantly clear that being a healer/tank main has only ever really made me good at juking. I can dance around like a motherfucker, but fuck if i can hit a single final blow.
Play Symmetra. She's positively unfair in Deathmatch and dancing around like a motherfucker is what you do, while your beam eats them alive. Plus setting up turrets at spawn locations for extra unfair.
oh believe me I've done that. I'm sorta trying use deathmatch to practice other heroes, I guess. It's been a day and maybe six rounds as Hog and I'm already drastically more accurate with the hook. also, I'm still terrible what with the aim, but I've managed to survive three seperate Genji ults as 76 by dropping a heal pod and running in circles, so I'm pretty pleased with that one.
I honestly really love the Hog change? It's pretty fun. In part, just cause it's fucking hilarious to see Hog hoofing it while snarfing down his fucking healpod, but also cause it's real good for getting out of sticky situations. If there's a Widow on highground who has me pinned, I can just take a breather and use the damage reduction to get the fuck out of there. Same with some Ults, like it's really good for dodging Meteor Strikes. If you time it right, you can totally negate all the damage from one landing right on top of you. And then hook the Doomie for an easy kill. Doomie's a real easy Hog kill, but only if there's one of them. If there's like three of the little shits and they're all mobbing you at once, it's like. Goddamn. Plus, the game can't decide if the hook interrupts his damn charge. It should, but oftentimes I'll have him hooked only to get blasted into a nearby wall. I think that's my favorite part of Deathmatch, these fucking dogpile scenarios where people spot the wounded gazelle in their midst and race to get that finishing blow. it's pretty hilarious.
I've been practicing Sombra and a little Tracer myself. In individual deathmatch there are no teammates to let down.
Deathmatch is so much fun, oh my god. I've been enjoying the fuck out of the new Junkrat (having two mines in reserve is GREAT.)
I've also been enjoying going into Deathmatch as Mercy, who is certainly the weakest solo hero in the game. I've found getting in the top four is pretty easy if you know how to shoot.
If you haven't experienced mercy on mercy ult duel, do it. Flying around like crazed pixies shooting at each other.
I'd always wondered why she didn't even though most of the other characters whose native tongues are not English have non-English lines.
