OMFG YES.

It makes my lungs hurt but it also makes me hungry. I hate this.

 

Despite the fact that all the public schools in our county are going to be closed due to the fires, neither of the preschools i work at will be -_- wtf mate

 

I know I'm probably fine here in the South Bay but I'm still scared and that makes me feel guilty. Like, I know there are people much closer to the fires, people who have you evacuate, and hope to God they're all okay, and here I am, safe and having a panic attack.

Same hat, north bay, the atlus fire is like down the street from me, and they keep sying solano county is on fire on the news when really... its just fairfield. Praying the winds chnage the direction of the fire

 

Huge sympathy to everyone dealing with the smoke. It really does sound worse than usual. Take care of your breathing, don't go out if you don't have to!

Last I knew, my cousin in Santa Rosa still had a house...

I walked out my front door and the air looked like it did in China. My brother works in San Francisco and said yesterday ash kept falling in his eyes.

 

It's been weirdly smoky down here in the Santa Cruz Mountains too. Not as bad as places further north, I'm sure, but still pretty smoky.

 

so smokey here they just canceled all my classes

 

Both my preschool work places finally canceled classes they admitted defeat to the smoke

 

I live in San Francisco and it smells like a damn cookout all the time and my nose is so stopped up.

 

The entirety of one Discord server I'm on has decided Bill Cipher must be running amok up there because it's so bad...

 

I joked that we need to get some sausages or salmon and just leave them outside for a while.

 

It's usually the south bay that gets hit, I think you don't need to feel guilty for having compassion for the people who are having their lives torn up and at the same time being glad it's not you guys this once.

Thank you! I know for a fact i have more books than clothes because i cleaned out an entire dresser to make room for said books XD i have shoeboxes filled with books, one big tub filled with books, books on top of dressers and a chest.... so yeah def more books than clothes.

Btw, fire update: smokes clearing here but we're still in advisory mode due to shifting winds

 

the Hell BBQ has finally gotten to where i live

yesterday dawn was all fucky orange color and the outside smells like Rain & Fire, even today

usually we're one of the first places to catch fire but the weather has be Weirder Than Usual this year

 

Good news everyone! We're out of advisory evac mode over here

Bad news is the fire still rages on...

 

It's been bearable here these past few days. Still a bit of lingering smoke smell, but it's not as bad? So hopefully that's a good sign.

(Also, I'm not sure if I have more clothes or more books, because I have a lot of both.)
