Rrrrright. As a grown adult, I definitely have conversations about my brother and say 'he's mine' as a declaration of siblinghood. God, that sounds creepy. It's less weird but more out of the blue when I think about it as cousins instead of siblings. This is just strange except as a fighty thing, where it's already a very established trope.
I like the idea that he can "feel her better" now that he's not "just" inside her fucking mind, scoping out her childhood and whatnot.
Spoiler: The Last Jedi trailer spoilers okay, so there're people who're so fucking not there for Kylo interacting with Rey whatsoever, not even in a Vader to Luke style, hey yo hows about join me, kinda way that they are legitimately trying to argue that this scene from the trailer is spliced together out of two different scenes, and that the second shot, of the hand being raised, is of either Hux or Finn. Not that the Rey line/shot of her face is from a different scene than Kylo, because nobody argues that, because it's plainly fucking true, so. No, the argument is that the trailer is not only misleading people to suspect that Rey and Kylo have anything at all to do with each other ever, but also that Kylo ever once raises his hand, to anyone, ever. I've seriously seen people claim that it's out of character for Kylo to extend a hand to someone. And like, yunno. He did offer to teach her, that one time. But that's totally different, I'm sure. We definitely wanna see every other plot point from TFA retread, just not that one. Finn infiltrating the FO to save Rey, again, Kylo waffling about it but ultimately killing his parent, again. Super fun and exciting!!! I love it when sequels are just the last movie, but not! It's like watching the same film you loved except you get to pay a fresh $15 for the pleasure!! I just don't get why people don't just go with "It's not actually in the movie, this shot was just for the trailer," if they're that fucking desperate to keep Kylo and Rey on opposite ends of the galaxy from one another. It's got just as much proof as the other thing, but it also would be impossible to disprove, which is more than I can say about the whole "oh no, it's clearly Finn!!! Kylo's outfit has texture and the outfit in the second shot has no texture, at all, ever!! and the glove is wrong, somehow, trust me!!" thing.
... I've got no horse in this race whatsoever, but look at that large falling ember on the right side of the screen. It is very obviously the same shot. I'm just offended on principle now
Apparently someone the clan knows is an Imperial Officer in the 501st. She got rudely asked "Why are you dressed like a Nazi?" This is apparently happening in increasing frequency and word is getting around the clubs. Like, yes, the Empire is inspired in part by Nazis. But the members in the club aren't Nazis and the 501st does fuck tons of charity and shit for like sick kids and stuff.
I'm not bothered by fans speculating about the story going in directions I don't want it to, or don't think it'll go or whatever, but this trend of people believing that everyone involved in this movie is just straight up lying to us about what's gonna happen in it is so fucking obnoxious to me. Like, people genuinely seem to believe that people have said stuff about Kylo and Rey being integral to each other's storylines, Kylo being a fun character to write and play around with, Rey and Finn having separate journeys, Rey and Luke being strangers who don't actually get along, etc, just to trick people into thinking that the story won't be about Rey and Finn making out while sweet daddy Luke politely chaperones them to battles where they totally kick the First Order's collective asses and stomp on Kylie Renner's balls while his mom points and laughs. That'll be the plot twist, they insist. The story will have no plot twists whatsoever, nothing will change or grow or challenge our heroes, and the people who thought they might be interested in telling us a fucking story will feel like fucking idiots for falling for that obvious marketing ploy.
The idea of that being a statement someone would disbelieve is like. So utterly alien to me. Because my immediate reaction to that is, "haha, yeah, I bet he is. What a dumpster fire. :::')))"
Only bad people actually enjoy writing about villains!!! A good person would write their villain's scenes while wincing and holding their nose, like they're a child taking cough medicine.
Folks giving cuphead hair (anime hair like he's got a liquid in there u can give him foam hair or smoke or w/e) when he's still in cup form like smh seems a bit overdesigned But what's really silly is that folk give cuphead hair but not mugman??? Bihs give mugman hair! Where is his hair, why is he bald
Maybe he doesn't like brushing his hair or paying for shampoo? Streamlining the process of personal grooming seems pretty smart to me, especially considering where that hair might be growing from.
so jake explicitly ended homestuck like "i suck, i don't deserve to have friends because i suck, everyone left me and that's fine because i suck too much" and yet the vast, vast majority of dirkjake fic that i've read is like, "jake tells dirk how great he is and dirk uncomfortably accepts the praise" and it doesnt even hint at jake having self esteem issues of his own and i just
I want to delete this cause I'm stupid but whatever smh I'm a shitass and a total fool and a complete donglord and an idiot to the utmost degree because Feferi is a Beta Troll according to the wiki so I am fucking wrong, completely mistaken, ultimately incorrect, incredibly inaccurate, I have committed a grave error, and have uttered a falsehood
i didnt click agree because im completely lost as to whether or not theyre alpha or beta but the wiki is for chumps and has a lot of pretty iffy stuff in there imo u good, dude
To be fair that bit of the nomenclature confuses me to the point where I outright refuse to use it. We just have "trolls" and "dancestors" or "Alternians" and "Beforans" because I am not up to parsing out "are these the alphas or betas????"
unpopular ffxiv opinion both Yotsuyu and Fordola did equally horrible, vile things (just different kinds of horrible for different reasons) and they both still deserve redemption arcs and gods does the way the fandom treat fans of either one of those characters make me annoyed not everything is because 'muh wifu' guys jesus christ. . . .
