...I wonder if the Alpha trolls/kids were the original folks that got messed up by whatever all this is. Or maybe just the Alpha trolls? I can't imagine they'd do very good, considering how many of their team probably walks riiight into being a part of the horrible bs anyhow in canon

if that was how it went down, then meulin being nepetas sister/cousin/something that moved into her house for a bit after something mysterious happened. and then more mysterious things start happening to nep and her friends.....

I like the idea of them being like, varying levels of cousins? Spread it out more. Maybe a few are direct siblings, but not all of them
That way it's harder for people to notice the changes.

but as time passes they all start to realize that somehow, they all have some weird connection to what's going on, they band together, and oc bc they start getting involved more Shit Gets Worse, especially for the more isolated ones like jade who probably lives in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere like 50 miles from civilization

I love this all way too much.

I especially like, in some of the slenderman mythos, when people get randomly transported to different areas. Especially since it makes me think of smoeone like Jade trying to shoot the monster and getting transported away to another kids house

iirc the space power god tier stuff is a result of the green sun in canon, right? so what if the green sun is a different warring eldritch entity, these two vast and powerful horrorgods eternally at war and using human agents to put a new spin on things or something idfk

It starts out with Jade waking up in the middle of the night, shooting at the monster/it's proxies, getting teleported through numerous locations (an abandoned hospital, a weird lake, an alternate dimension empty city, Karkat's house) and finally ending up in John's house at one in the morning.
The next video is part two, and it's just Jade trying explain.

the real question is: what are the factions, which kids/trolls/dancestors/what have you are unwittingly on different "sides" so to speak :ppp what if they get punished by whichever eldritch beastie's side they're on if they associate too closely with the "other side" or investigate too much into what's happening to them or their friends and try to negate the damage

(however, oddly, when they help someone on the other "side" somehow nothing wrong happens to them! because in the eyes of the god they're "serving", any attempt to de-convert someone on the "other side" is a good one bc then the other one will have less troops. . . obviously, that other one will be None Too Pleased, so different terrible eldritch things will happen instead of the same ones :ppp)

 

At least in my head, what I've got so far is like Makaras/Meulin/unwittingly Rose as one side. This should be refurred to as the purple side, because I'm terrible.

I like to think about the first guardians being a creepy myth on one side, and then the horrorterrors being a creeptastic myth on the other

and that's not just beccause i really like the idea of Bec in Jades videos slowly turning into a strange dog, nooo not at all

 

ooooh no that is so excellent, i like that a lot, maybe the first guardians are mostly benevolentish but also dont give a shit? they probably have their own cults n stuff, maybe the kids involved w said guardians eventually fall into those cults as a protection measures against horrorterrors/the green sun, but they are definitely still terrifying and probably get invoked in terrifying ways

Like, at first no one notices, and then EVERYONE BUT JADE is getting more and more creeped out, and then EVERYONE BEING CREEPED OUT.

This entire thing is a nasty turf war between cults, that slowly drags in more monsters and more humans and gets more and more messy.
