My game is just about the least concerned with immersion I have ever seen from a larp. At this point it's more of a boffer sport in goofy clothes than a larp. No one I know has ever been kicked off field for wearing mundanes or safety gear, up to and including the time I played an entire day in nothing but booty shorts, a sports bra, and a sun hat. It was midsummer and humid.
I tried to cosplay Amethyst, body paint and all, at SacAnime Summer this year, and the paint literally melted off even though I'd sealed it well. Be very careful while cosplaying in hundred-degree heat, is what I'm saying.
Modern materials, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or steel, don't care much if left strung for extended periods. They'll lose a little power if left strung for years on end, but not much.

So. Last night i dreamed about a creature that called itself a "shitty photoshop treecat". On waking up this morning, I decided to try and recreate it. I got this far before photoshop's memory usage jumped up to 5 gb - it's never been anywhere near that before, even when working on very large files - and it crashed. I believe that even if this image is not cursed in the colloquial sense, it does contain a very powerful curse against the program.
It's since been removed from Pearl's folder thing on TVTropes (by me personally, you're welcome) but this screenshot I took is still highly cursed, at least if you know anything about SU...
