Because I liked Children of the Corn Netflix thinks I would also like Mean Girls. I do like Mean Girls, and not just because Regina George demands kids sacrifice adults to He Who Walks Behind the Bleachers. I have no idea why Netflix put that movie in with a bunch of horror movies?

 

Just saw someone at work who had a shirt that said “I don’t need therapy, I just need to listen to Pink Floyd.”

i was doing some writing when i got a ping from tiwtter. someone trying to DM me. trying to hit on me...in telugu. they tried to say "hey baby" but the translator says they wrote "he baby," so maybe they were trying to tell me the good news of their male child's birth.

I have a new contender for least favorite thing I have ever thrown up: an entire pot of black tea and nothing else. Not just any black tea, though: constant comment. The acidity of the oranges and the tannins mixed with the natural acidity of my internal organs to make something full-bodied, complex, and punishing.

Three guesses as to what I drink a hot cup of to wash the flavor away though and the first two don't count. I am a creature of habit.

ages and ages ago i saw a picture of some kind of small aquatic animal. it was very colourful and small enough to comfortably rest on the tip of a finger. iirc it had four, slightly tentacle-like limbs?

if anyone has an idea what i'm talking about, please tell me

What are alla y’all other Americans doing for Thanksgiving? Myself, I’m just hanging with Parents and Bestie and we’re gonna eat a fuckton, which is how we spend every Thanksgiving.

 

We're brining some turkey legs and making sweet potato souffle for two, but staying in this year. Travelling over Christmas means staying the fuck home over Thanksgiving.

 

Staying home, having ham and mashed potatoes and carrots and I'm gonna make some biscuits!

We're also gonna pick up Nier Automata tomorrow and play it together (meaning he does the playing and I offer insightful commentary and jokes and advice about where to go next).

 

Going to parents' house. Two roast chickens with stuffing (one gluten-free, one not), mashed potatoes, chocolate cheesecake I spent half of yesterday making, and whatever overly complicated vegetable dishes Mom decides we need.

 

am sick, but we’re staying home and making a fuckload of food (or rather, Those Who Aren’t Sick are making the food)

Crocheting is way harder than it looks, and even when I follow along to a video and think I know what I’m doing I end up with sore hands and a knotted mess.

 

Happy to be spending thanksgiving at home with my family this year.
